Land Of The Lustrous Season 2: Is There Still Room for Manga to Grow?

As of this writing, eleven volumes have been published since the manga was first published back in 2012. There were 56,765 copies in circulation by August 31, 2014. It was nominated for the eighth Manga Taish award in 2015.

There are 12 episodes in the anime series, which features 2D and 3D animation from Orange and covers the manga’s 31 chapters between October and December of 2017. In addition, there are over 85 chapters in the manga series, so there is plenty of material for a second season.

The studio behind Black Bullet and the more recent Beastars, which is even more well-known than the former, has produced other well-known anime series.

Final Lines-

Despite the fact that there is enough material for a second season, Studio Orange has not yet announced a follow-up to the first season. Given how well the first season did and how manga sales nearly doubled after the anime premiered in October 2017, this is an odd development.

Assuming it isn’t just there to promote the manga, in which case it has been a success.

In addition, the series’ popularity and rating across nearly every platform indicates that it is done exceptionally well. In the end, there is absolutely no way that Studio Orange would pass up the opportunity to bring the show back for a second run.

If it is being considered now, we probably won’t see it released until at least 2023 because animation is hard work and requires a lot of resources in animation, sound, and voice actors to make it look good, regardless of whether it is in 2D or 3D form.
