The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on December 1 KST that SHINee member Minho and actor Lee Dong Wook have been chosen as the inaugural official “Olympic™ Friends.”
Joining forces with well-known individuals, the ‘Olympic™ Friends’ program spreads the word about the Olympic Games’ principles. Lee Dong Wook was previously a member of the torch relay for the 2018 Winter Paralympics and an official ambassador for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games and Winter Paralympics. The member of SHINee known as Minho has also been known to endorse a number of sporting events and organizations on a global, national, and even micro level.
Joining forces as ‘Olympic™ Friends,’ Lee Dong Wook and Minho will begin December with promotional activities for the ‘2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics,’ a global event that aims to inspire young athletes from all over the globe. Additionally, from January 19th through February 1st, 2024, the ‘2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics’ will take place.
