Lee Gwan-hee was reportedly set to make an appearance in Single’s Inferno 2, which included the popular competitor Dex, according to the South Korean media site OSEN on January 11, 2024. Kim Jae-won and Kim Jeong-hyun, the show’s producers, granted the publication an exclusive interview.

The reality dating show Single’s Inferno follows a group of single people as they try to meet life partners while marooned on an island without food, water, or shelter. Lee Gwan-hee captivated audiences in season three, while Dex was the most popular male candidate in season two. Lee Gwan-hee was set to feature in Single’s Inferno 2, but his tight schedule prevented him from participating, according to producer Kim Jae-won.

As soon as word got out, fans were ecstatic, predicting that Jin-young, alias Dex, will probably have the same expression as Gwan-hee, who cried in season 3. An ardent supporter remarked:

“if i had come out last year, i think i would have been with dex. i think it would have been really fun then.”
– gwanhee

what if they are really in the same season? i feel like jinyoung will cry too! 🫣😂#SinglesInferno3 pic.twitter.com/S3dhA2HGMs

Fans Want To Watch Lee Gwan-hee and Dex in a Romantic Relationship

Lee Gwan-hee’s decision to depart from the Inferno with Choi Hye-seon sparked chaos in the final episode of Single’s Inferno 3. After he became close to Choi Hye-Seon, the public was won over by this decision and immediately declared that he had changed his ways. Fans have noticed that when he is with Choi Hye-seon, he acts like a green flag, despite being called the season’s red flag for his dynamic decisions.

Kim Jae-won, producer of Single’s Inferno 2, told the media outlet in question that Lee Gwan-hee was originally supposed to participate in the sequel. Unfortunately, the basketball player couldn’t participate in the second season because filming ran counter to his team’s training plan.

Additionally, the producer mentioned that they had a meeting with the new coach and reached out to the team in a desperate attempt to alter the timetable, but were met with disappointment. Finally, they surrendered. It would have been fascinating to see the two together, the producer said, had Lee Gwan-hee made an appearance in season two. Fans are eager to witness the dynamic duo’s reactions to a mug fight, drawn to the optimistic and self-assured personas of both Dex and Gwan-hee. Some even went so far as to say that they would have been formidable competitors.

Since Gwan-hee and Dex were originally scheduled to participate in Single’s Inferno 2, fans are reacting with:

i saw so many interpretations of gwanhee’s speech to hyeseon but this is how i see it, him listing all things she should never do alone is another way of letting her know she never have to be cause he will always be there😭#singlesinferno3
