Liar Liar Anime Trailer: Cast members and a teaser trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Haruki Kuo’s light novel Liar Liar have been unveiled. It’s being animated by Studio GEEKTOYS, and it’ll debut in 2023. The release date of the anime adaptation has been set for April 2021.
The protagonist Hiroto Shinohara is in the middle of the recently published teaser image, with his maid Shirayuki Himeji on the left and Sarasa Saionji on the right. The main character, Hiroto Shinohara, is voiced by Genta Nakamura.
Wakana Kuramochi, who voiced Lilia Kudelfeyt in Vermeil in Gold: The Failing Student and the Strongest Scourge Plunge Into the World of Magic and Caph in The Duke of Death and His Maid, is acting as Shirayuki Himeji, and Yukina Shuto, who voiced Shizuku Hyodo in Idoly Pride and Haru Urara in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, is playing the role.
The Liar Liar animation was directed by Satoru Ono and Naoki Matsuura. Character design is handled by Yumi Nakamura, and series composition is handled by Momoka Toyoda. You can see the brand new teaser trailer on KADOKAWA’s official YouTube page, which we’ve embedded for you below:
To mark the anime adaptation, both the light novel’s illustrator Konomi and the manga artist Funa Yuki made fan art. Studio GEEKTOYS is adapting the Haruki Kuo and Konomi-illustrated light book Liar Liar, which was released by KADOKAWA’s BF Bunko J imprint.

The first volume of the light novel was released in April of this year, and the twelfth volume is set for release on November 25. Since August of this year, Funa Yukina’s manga translation has been serialised in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic Alive.
