Here’s the process. The Mandalorian Season 3 finally sees the return of Din Djarin and Grogu, more than three years after the Season 2 ending left us in tears. With the galaxy far, far away’s favorite father-and-son duo reunited, Din will “cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
How long is The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 and what about the other episodes, until it airs on Disney+?
Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1 Runtime
The first episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 lasts 35 minutes. At the time of writing, we don’t have any verified runtimes for the remaining episodes of the new season, but we’ll update this article as soon as we do.
The Last of Us and House of the Dragon are two examples of how HBO’s programming frequently begins with a larger, though not feature-length episode, but the runtimes of Star Wars programs don’t generally follow any particular pattern.
- The Mandalorian Season 1: 38 minutes
- The Mandalorian Season 2: 51 minutes
- The Book of Boba Fett: 37 minutes
- Obi-Wan Kenobi: 52 minutes
- Andor: 39 minutes
The first episode of Season 3 is 35 minutes long, but subsequent episodes won’t all be that long. Runtimes have ranged between 31 and 52 minutes in previous seasons. You can find out here what time each new episode of The Mandalorian airs and here when it will be available on Disney+.

Mandalorian Season 3 Plot
The third season opens with Din Djarin and Grogu reunited after Din was told by the Armorer that in order to become a Child of the Watch Mandalorian once more, he must atone for his transgressions (i.e., remove his helmet). Grogu then made the decision to forgo his Jedi training and instead travel with Mando.
In order for Din to achieve forgiveness by discovering the “live waters,” their quests will take them to Mandalore, the cursed Mandalorian homeland planet that has long been abandoned and in ruins. However, conflicts around the famous Darksaber are still going on.
The weapon, which is in Din’s hands right now, is a Mandalorian emblem of leadership and bestows upon its owner the authority to rule Mandalore, a position which Din does not really desire but which is desired by his rival and fellow Mandalorian Bo-Katan. The issue is that the Darksaber must be obtained by victory in conflict for the right to rule to be real.
The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2, as well as The Book of Boba Fett, are all accessible on Disney+ if you want to catch up on or relive Din and Grogu’s adventures before the release of Season 3.
