In the entertainment industry, South Korean singer and actress Kim Ji-soo is known as Jisoo. Her fame stems from her position in the top-charting K-pop girl group Blackpink, founded by YG Entertainment in August 2016.

Outside of music, she made her acting debut in a cameo in The Producers in 2015 and then landed her first leading part in the JTBC series Snowdrop (2021–22). On January 3, 1995, in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, Kim Ji-soo entered the world.

Two of her siblings are significantly older than her. She was an avid basketball player and Taekwondo student when she was a little girl. She envisioned herself as a successful artist and author. TVXQ, a Korean boy band, was a favorite of hers.

Jisoo went to the School of Performing Arts Seoul for high school, where she became involved in the theatre club in her junior year and gained valuable entertainment industry experience through numerous auditions.

Before her debut, Jisoo spent her time at home with her parents, siblings, and grandparents. Jisoo is fluent not only in Korean, her mother tongue, but also in Chinese, Japanese, and English.
