Marilyn Monroe was a cultural icon in her day, saying something. The stunning Hollywood actress was linked romantically to several of the industry’s most revered figures. The unexpected passing of Marilyn Monroe at the age of 36 sent shockwaves throughout the globe. Before marrying baseball great Joe DiMaggio, Monroe married the famed poet Arthur Miller.

She had a steamy romance with John F. Kennedy and was pals with Frank Sinatra. It was only natural for Monroe to present herself as the kind of formidable woman who powerful men required at their sides. She was invited to the proverbial table because of her television presence. Even now, posters of Monroe’s skirt flapping in the wind from The Seven Year Itch may be found on the walls of classic Hollywood cafes.

And her performance as a comedian in Some Like it Hot elevated a mediocre film to the level of an all-time classic. She even serenaded the President of the United States with “Happy Birthday” in front of a stunned audience on his special day. The magnetic star died suddenly. How did Marilyn Monroe pass away in August of 1962? The world wondered.

The Young Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe, whose real name was Norma Jeane Mortenson and who was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 1, 1926, had a bubbly façade that hid a deep internal fragility and a lifelong battle with substance misuse. That was the direct outcome of the star’s difficult upbringing, during which time she spent a significant portion of her time in various foster care facilities. Before she was famous as Marilyn Monroe, this was Norma Jean Mortenson.

The great strides she took over the next two decades to become the most recognized movie star in the world only added to the awe of her meteoric ascension to fame. Marilyn Monroe’s filmography had earned about $2 billion in today’s money by the 1950s. Although the traumatic experiences of her childhood never entirely faded, it was clear that her wildest dreams of being wealthy and famous had come true.

The young star’s anxiety and sadness were so severe that she frequently sought solace in booze and drugs. It was reported that “[s]he was popping pills here and there and drinking champagne and vodka straight.” I warned Marilyn, “Marilyn mixing medications with alcohol is a surefire way to end your life.” ‘It hasn’t killed me yet,’ she said. She resorted to consuming more liquids and pills—Marilyn Monroe’s longtime pal James Bacon.

Monroe’s routine began to affect her productivity at some point. She was sacked from her last picture, Something’s Got to Give, due to her chronic lateness (if she showed up at all) and inability to recall her lines (when she did). Directory “worth a week’s torment…to have three dazzling minutes on the screen,” Billy Wilder reflected later. It’s not shocking that Marilyn Monroe’s death in 1962 was ruled a suicide in light of her inner troubles.

Dead Body Of Marilyn Monroe Discovered

Peter Lawford, the brother-in-law of John F. Kennedy, was the last living person to talk with Monroe before her death. Their final words over the phone were, “Say goodbye to Pat [Lawford’s wife].

And since you’re such a great person, you should say goodbye. Marilyn Monroe’s psychiatrist, Dr. Ralph Greenson, and personal physician, Dr. Hyman Engelberg, were called to the actress’s Los Angeles home at 12305 Fifth Helena Drive early on August 5, 1962.

How Did Marilyn Monroe Die?

Many reporters were swarming the bungalow’s front lawn before morning. The LA County coroner was called to do an autopsy on Monroe’s body. When Marilyn Monroe passed away, toxicology tests revealed she had an abundance of chloral hydrate in her blood from the likely combination of sleeping medications and the barbiturate Nembutal.

However, Monroe’s death was listed as “possible suicide” on the official death certificate. The high concentrations of chloral hydrate led him to assume that the sleeping tablets were consumed “within a short time” or one minute. Meanwhile, the police report suggests that Marilyn Monroe’s death was likely accidental. Friends and family were shocked to hear about the star’s unexpected death.

What Happened To Marilyn Monroe?

Perhaps the most well-known is the notion that Robert Kennedy was behind the plot to have Marilyn Monroe killed. Actor Gianni Russo of “The Godfather” fame popularised the idea that Kennedy wanted to keep their romance hidden so it wouldn’t destroy John F. Kennedy’s reputation. John F. Kennedy (on the right) and Robert F. Kennedy at the legendary presidential reception where Marilyn Monroe sang.

1962. After revealing that he was her ex-boyfriend, Russo said that Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana had ordered the hit on the actress so that he could get close to the President. To blackmail the President into attacking Cuba so the mob could reclaim the casinos, the plan was to film the two of them together with Robert Kennedy.

Once Monroe learned about the scheme, she vowed to tell the public about the people involved. Then, Robert Kennedy had her murdered to end the whole thing. Some conspiracy theorists were more dubious of Monroe’s wealth and its handlers, and they theorized that the actress was injected with barbiturates on purpose so that they could steal all of her money.

The lack of pill capsules in her body and a little, inexplicable mark on her lower body suggests she was killed by injection. Despite the constant harassment from the press, an upset Marilyn Monroe finally manages to leave the hospital. 1954. Within 48 hours after Monroe’s death, her business manager Inez Melson withdrew an unknown number of documents, including her will, from the house in shopping bags.

All of this occurred when the police were questioning witnesses. Meanwhile, on August 16, probate was filed for the actress’ will, which left a trust of one hundred thousand dollars. With this, she could give her mother $5,000, her half-sister $10,000, her former secretary $10,000, and playwright Norman Rosten $5,000.

None of these gifts are unusual, but the last one raised some eyebrows. According to reports, Monroe felt that Dr. Marianne Kris, the New York psychiatrist who had locked her in a padded cell at the Payne Whitney Clinic in 1961, was entitled to 25% of her wealth.

Marilyn Monroe was an extraordinary and ambitious young woman who unfortunately lost her life before her full potential could be realized.
