More than 200 nations and territories will have access to the new season on Crunchyroll at the same time as Japan does. The first official trailer for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 appeared online on August 7, 2022. “1,” performed by Mob Choir, serves as the show’s opening theme. The Mob Choir will also sing the ending theme, “Cobalt.”

Crunchyroll announced on June 6, 2022, that it had acquired the worldwide streaming rights to the third season of Mob Psycho 100. The first two episodes of Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 were aired at Crunchyroll Expo 2022. From August 5th to 7th, 2022, the convention was held in San Jose, California. The announcement that the anime TV series would be produced was made on October 19, 2021, with the words “Ready Get, Wake Your Psyche Up, MOB!”

The official Mob Psycho 100 Twitter account dropped a May 12th, 2022 announcement teaser on April 12th, 2022. They tweeted, “Did you know May 12 is MOB’s birthday?” “That’s a date you might want to write down…” On that same day, a new English-subtitled trailer for Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 was posted on the official website.

A character designer for the upcoming third season of the anime TV show accidentally let slip that the debut would take place in the year 2022. (For forecasts and additional analysis, see the release date section.) The following actors have been confirmed for Season 3 of Japanese Mob Psycho 100:

  • Takanori Hoshino as Serizawa
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Tome Kurata
  • Uki Satake as Tsubomi
  • Ayumi Fujimura as Ichi Mezato
  • Toshihiko Seki as Musashi Goda
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Tenga Onigawara

Japanese actors Setsuo Ito, Takahiro Sakurai, Akio Ohtsuka, Miyu Irino, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka reprise their roles as Shigeo Kageyama aka Mob, Arataka Reigen, Ekubo, Ritsu Kageyama, and Teruki Hanazawa.

After hearing that a third season will be produced, the cast and crew of the show immediately began to celebrate. The third season of the anime is officially in production, and we have an announcement to make! One, who created the Mob Psycho 100 manga, expressed his gratitude. The anime adaptation has become a magnificent work in its own right as Anime Mob thanks to the hard work of the production crew.

It has also been reported that Takahiro Hasui (Sk8 the Infinity episode director) would be the main Director, with Yuzuru Tachikawa (Death Parade) returning in the role of Executive Director for Bones Studio B.

After a delay of just over two years, the second season eventually premiered in 2019. Well, at long last, The third season is in the works, and we’re eager to let you know! The CEO said it this way. Please watch the PV and get enthusiastic; we’ll be working on it with even more vigor now that we’ve hired more team members. Mob-Kun!”

Mob Psycho 100 has been in animation for three years. As a director, I had a hand in the previous season. “I’ll be helping out in a different capacity for executive director Tachikawa this time around,” the new director explained. I want to add more risk and intrigue to Mob Psycho. I plan to keep working on the animation for this season without altering its classic flavor. We ask that you be patient till it’s air time. Excited for Mob Psycho 100 3?

Outside of that, most of the core employees are coming back to continue in their previous positions. The series is written by Jujutsu Kaisen author Hiroshi Seko. The designer of those characters is the aforementioned Yoshimichi Kameda (One Punch Man, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood). Sound designer Kazuhiro Wakabayashi (Godzilla: Singular Point) and composer Kenji Kawai (Fate stay/night, No Guns Life, World Trigger) are on board.

Ryou Kouno, the art director, Shihoko Nakayama, the color designer, Mayuku Furumoto, the director of photography, and Kiyoshi Hirose, the editor, will all be back.

The reveal of Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 was presented in a unique way. After a mystery countdown pointed to 8 AM EST on October 19, 2021, anime lovers monitoring Twitter knew the reveal was imminent. The anime’s director, the lead voice actor, and the franchise’s official Twitter page have all been dropping hints about an imminent announcement.

On July 11, 2021, the fifth anniversary of the Mob Psycho 100 anime was commemorated. After confirming that the third play would be performed on stage in the summer of 2021, the official tweet began dropping hints about future announcements.

Who knows what will happen in the third stage play that’s in the works? Keep your eyes peeled for updates, as the official account tweeted in English.

The canon Twitter account then started tweeting images from the show depicting characters using their fingers to indicate numerical values. Using a calendar added a creative twist to the countdown starting at number 6. Both the 7 and the 10 used numbers; the former was the 7th Division headquarters while the latter was the issue number of a magazine. The countdown started using only percentages as of October 10, 2021.

They made everyone wait an agonizing minute after the number 100 was shown before unveiling the trailer for Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100.

When the countdown to Mob Psycho 100 began, Japanese voice actor Setsuo Itou joined the conversation. He’s the one that leads the cast as Shigeo Kageyama/Mob. Five years have passed since then… I was so excited to see the show air. In many cases, those listening to me speak heard my voice for the first time. Please know how much I appreciate your help. Actor (who tweets) Every day we are putting in long hours on stage.

“And …”? ??”

Yuzuru Tachikawa, the director of the Mob Psycho 100 anime, retweeted the official account a few days later with the message, “Please support us.” After the third production, the director created a comic that was even more obvious in its teasing. The comic implied that something even bigger than the play was on the horizon, but Reigen was too dense to catch on. Since Keita Kawajiri (Sugarboy) and not Tachikawa is directing the stage piece, the director’s comedy stands out as well.

The anime director announced on his personal Twitter account that production on a new anime series began in the first months of the year 2021. The director’s Twitter bio reads, “Preparing for new work NEW!!!”

The third season’s fans have been patiently waiting for any news. Late in 2019, an OVA installment of Mob Psycho 100 II was made available (see below for more details). The second season appeared to provide a satisfying finish with a climatic showdown. Because the anime adaptation of the Mob Psycho 100 manga stopped short of completing the story, a third season of the show was required.

Since the Mob Psycho 100 manga concluded in 2017, there appears to be a dearth of content from which to adapt for Season 3. But… it seems there might be quite a bit of wiggle room. Whether or not the anime studio Bones decides to greatly expand on the action sequences while remaining authentic to the source material will determine how well the conclusion is adapted in Mob Psycho 100 Season 3. After all, the manga’s remaining story arcs don’t appear to be that long.

Director Yuzuru Tachikawa and the rest of the crew from Bones studio B returned to produce the second season. The “Mob Psycho 100” is “extremely responsive to fresh ideas,” as Tachikawa has stated publicly in the past. One of my primary concerns was how I could stay true to the original material while adapting it. Tachikawa said to Crunchyroll in 2016 that he had “drawn a massive blank” when asked what an adaptation of the series would look like.

“But as I was worried about how I would approach the adaptation, I came to the understanding that the program would be an opportunity to test out a variety of fresh concepts,” he said. When Tachikawa made that comment, he was thinking about ways to improve the look of the animation, not how to change the plot so that it deviates from the manga. There have been occasional deviations from the manga, but overall the anime has been quite loyal to the source material.

Why The Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Release Date Is In October 2022?

Studio Bones and Warner Bros. Japan announced the official October 5, 2022 release date for Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 on August 7, 2022. Since the first season of the anime was successful, surpassing all three seasons of My Hero Academia, the financial prospects for a third season always seemed strong.

Mob Psycho 100 Season 1 sold 4,749 copies in its first week in Japan, putting it on par with Attack on Titan Season 3 in terms of Blu-Ray/DVD box set sales (for the most up-to-current information on the Attack on Titan anime, check out our story on the release date for Attack on Titan: Part 3.

The second season of Mob Psycho 100 did not fare nearly as well in Japan as the first. Warner Bros. may have been delayed so significantly because BD Volume 1 of the second season only sold 1,690 copies in its first week. The third season of Mob Psycho 100 has been given the go-ahead to film in Japan. Keep in mind that this is also the time period in which streaming revenue surpassed disc sales as the primary source of income for the anime business. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, though, that newer anime sequels have worse box office results.

An image of Dimple “seasoning” two mushrooms appeared in the end credits of Season 1 as a teaser for Season 2. The conclusion of the second season nearly begs for a continuation, but unfortunately, the final episode did not provide anime viewers a comparable clue of what is to come. Although it was announced on October 19, 2021, a specific premiere date for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 was not given at the time. In its place, the short promo for Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 just stated, “Coming soon.”

On the other hand, a supposed third-season character designer let slip in his Twitter account that the show wasn’t scheduled to air until 2022.

Timeliness-wise, studio availability is the most crucial factor. Studios A through E makes up Bones. Studio B only released one additional anime between seasons of Mob Psycho 100, and 2017’s Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond.

Studio C is producing the next My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission film in 2021 as well as the upcoming fifth season of the popular anime. Studio Bones’ output in 2021 also included the Godzilla: Singular Point anime for Netflix, as well as The Case Study of Vanitas anime and the Sk8 The Infinity anime (a sequel was announced, but it’s unclear whether it’s a Season 2 or a movie project).

It was unclear in October 2021 whether Studio B was already committed to another project before beginning production on the third season of Mob Psycho 100. Therefore, Anime Geek’s prediction of May 2022 for the announcement and Fall 2022 for the release of Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 was spot-on.

Comparison of the Mob Psycho 100 anime to the manga: Chapter numbering is more complicated than it seems.

The manga series Mob Psycho 100 by One Punch Man’s creator ONE serves as the inspiration for the anime’s story. The manga, which began in 2012, concluded with Chapter 101 in December 2017. Volume 16, including the final installment, was published in July of 2018. The official English translation of the manga series lags woefully behind the anime in terms of both plot and pacing. As of April 2, 2019, only two volumes were published, with the third set to come out on July 9, 2019.

The first season of Mob Psycho 100 is summarised in a 60-minute movie available on Crunchyroll and titled Mob Psycho 100 Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic. New animation segments starring Reigen make up nearly a quarter of the film, so it’s more than just a collection. Chapter 50 of Volume 6 is roughly when the first season should have ended.

It might not seem like there’s much room for the third season of Mob Psycho 100 given that the second season adapted only 51 chapters into 13 episodes, but in reality, there are 215 chapters. (Remember that some chapters are very brief or just the author’s drawn remarks on the manga’s production.) This difference in chapter numbering is due to ONE’s extensive use of shorter sub-chapters of varied page lengths beginning with Chapter 60 and continuing forth.

Chapter 100, a reference to when the power of???% fully controls Shigeo Kageyama aka Mob, was chosen because it sounded good aloud and because it marked the conclusion of the manga. Nearly a third of the novel occurs in the last 10 chapters, which feature three distinct plot lines. Subchapters can vary in length from one chapter to the next; Chapter 90 contains 12 of them, Chapter 97 has 13, Chapter 98 has 12, and Chapter 100 has 17. (100.1 through 100.17).

To be precise, 57 chapters (including a number of altered subchapters) were used in the first season. Season 2 episodes 2 and 3 adapted roughly eight chapters at the end of January 2019, with the first episode adapting four chapters (51, 51.5, 52, and 52.5) As of the beginning of Chapter 64, Episode 4 adapted just over six chapters.

Chapter 65 provides the inspiration for the title of Episode 5 of Discord, which adapts Chapters 64–67. In barely six episodes, the entire world-dominating plotline involving the massive conflict with Claw was resolved. As a whole, the second season had around five chapters every episode. The anime would have had to speed up to Tokyo Ghoul: re levels of length if Bones had adapted the tale much more, and that would have been a major letdown for lovers of the medium.

Based on where studio Bones left off with Season 2, the third season of Mob Psycho 100 is entirely feasible. The last scene was modified from the first half of Chapter 92. 2, leaving another 65 chapters untouched. That’s the perfect number of chapters to wrap up the plot in the third season. Please refer to the Sakuga Blog for in-depth discussions on the animation processes used in creating each Mob Psycho 100 episode.

Mob Psycho 100 manga sequel Characters other than Reigen, the Man With the Spiritual Power of Max 131, take the stage in this film. Mob Psycho 100 had a sequel in March of 2018 when Reigen: The Man With Max 131 Spiritual Power (Reigen: Reikyuchi Max 131 no Otoko) was released on the Manga ONE app by Shogakukan.

The first volume was supposed to come out in the middle of January, but it wasn’t available until February 19th, 2019. Reports at one point indicated that the second volume of Reigen, to be titled Volume 200%, was being written, however, it now appears that the Reigen manga finished after only nine chapters.

To our knowledge, the Reigen manga is not being adapted into English at this time. The Reigen manga has been picked up and translated into English by fan-made scanlation projects.

The new manga follows the adventures of Arataka Reigen and the Spirits and Such Consultation Office, as suggested by the title. It appears to be a direct sequel to Mob Psycho 100, taking place shortly after its events but focusing on a new set of protagonists. Reigen’s manga makes it plain that Mob is “not even in the manga this time,” despite a brief aside in the opening chapter mentioning that a much happier Mob is now a third-year middle school student working for his high school entrance tests.

Kurata Tome, the leader of the high school’s Telepathy Club, provides the bulk of the narrative’s first-person perspective. Tome doesn’t want her “normie” pals to know that she works with Reigen after school. Tome is a secretary by trade, but when former Super 5 member Katsuya Serizawa offers her the chance to go undercover with Reigen, she doesn’t hesitate to accept.

Is there a possibility that we could see a Reigen anime in the near future? Whether or if ONE decides to adopt the new manga into an expanded sequel hinges largely on how well received the primary anime is. On the other hand, one could argue that this story should be released after Season 3 as an OVA episode of Reigen, and act as a sort of epilogue.

In The Second Ova Season Of Mob Psycho 100, Everyone Goes On Vacation.

The second episode of the original video animation series (OVA) for Mob Psycho 100, released in 2019, was a “totally new work” by manga artist ONE. This second OVA episode was animated by studio BONES under the direction of Tachikawa Yuzuru, who also drew the storyboard for the first two seasons.

The new OVA was titled “Mob Psycho 100: The First Spirits and Such Company Trip: A Journey that Mends the Heart and Heals the Soul.” The story synopsis/summary for the OVA episode was available on the official website.

“Mob, Reigen, Dimple, and the newest member of the Spirits and Such Consultation Office staff, Serizawa, take a trip up to a secluded hot spring called Ibogami Hot Springs in Zebra Prefecture. Reigen happened to get a request from the matron there to discover the truth behind the strange rumors going around there and save the inn. Ritsu and Teru also join in on this trip and the six of them head out on this super relaxing trip to the hot spring. But on their way there, Reigen and Serizawa start nodding off on the train and somehow get sucked into an eerie parallel world…”

So, the answer is yes, there will be a hot springs episode in the MP 100 anime. Since the other story arcs not covered by the anime adaptation do contain plenty of time gaps, it’s not that farfetched.

An early screening of the second OVA episode took place on July 7, 2019. Setsuo Ito, Takahiro Sakurai, and Takanori Hoshino, from the band Cost, made an appearance. Those who purchased the Season 2 Blu-ray/DVD box sets on April 3rd or April 24th were eligible to enter a lottery for advance screening tickets.

During the Labor Day weekend in San Jose, California, Crunchyroll will host the Crunchyroll Expo 2019, where the premiere of the Mob Psycho 100 II OVA episode will take place (August 30th through September 1st). On September 1st, 2019, the world premiere of Mob Psycho 100: OVA 2 will take place in a special screening.

This week, on September 25th, 2019, the Mob Psycho 100 II OVA episode began streaming simultaneously on the Crunchyroll streaming app around the world (outside of Asia). The OVA will also make its DVD and Blu-ray debuts on the same day.

Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 spoilers (Plot summary/synopsis)

We left Mob with the Divine Tree in Spice City growing as a result of the monumental conflict with Claw chief Toichiro Suzuki. Cults seeking to worship the strange vegetable appeared almost as quickly as the big broccoli did. As Katsuya Serizawa carries an umbrella, Reigen is able to return to his job at the agency, leaving poor Mob bewildered. The mob is aware that women are paying more attention to him, and he allows it to make him conceited.

Haruaki Amakusa, a yokai hunter, travels to Spice City after hearing stories about the Divine Tree in an effort to find the Hyakki, a group of spiritual creatures. Amakusa isn’t an ESPer, but he can feel yokai, and when he draws his sword, he becomes one with the spirit of Mumbo Jump. If it takes him three days to kill a yokai, then he’s not all that powerful.

Amakusa has enlisted the aid of Reigen, Mob, and Serizawa to destroy the yokai’s central headquarters. There, they face the Great Yokai King, and the Divine Tree consumes their defeated energies. This is bad news, as Mob and Reigen soon discover that the expanding broccoli tree’s roots have been consuming Spice City.

The mob is persuaded to take over as leader of the Psycho Helmet cult, but an imposter arrives on the scene before he can make his official introduction. The mob is initially envious of the imposter’s success and popularity, but he soon discovers the truth about the people who worship the Divine Tree. It was discovered that the Psycho Helmet cult used a gigantic broccoli powder as a form of brainwashing. Mob and Reigen make the decision to chop down the Divine Tree, but the shadowy figure guiding the Psycho Helmet cult turns the throngs of brainwashed followers against them.

This individual proposes that the Mob unite under the leadership of Lord Psycho Helmet. Almost giving in, Mob considers the possibility that his crush, Tsubomi Takane, could be more receptive to hearing his declaration of love if he were to use this method. When an army of Psycho Helmet clones descends on Mob, the conflict escalates from a philosophical one due to the divergent values and ethics of the two sides.

And to make matters worse, the Divine Tree has developed intelligence and is now actively trying to devour Mob. In the end, Mob is saved from being devoured, and the huge broccoli is sent flying away, thanks to a selfless act of sacrifice. All of Spice City’s residents suffered from collective amnesia after the tragedy at the Divine Tree, causing them to forget about the event entirely.

That whatever follows next is not easily forgotten. Tome, leader of the Telepathy Club, is reduced to tears by her members’ lack of enthusiasm and the lack of meaningful memories they have built together. Everyone decides they want to help Tome use telepathy to make contact with actual aliens. A celebration aboard an alien ship is held, and one human is invited to the alien planet.

The ultimate danger to Earth does not come from extraterrestrials, extrasensory beings, or supernatural beings intent on taking over the globe. Mob’s own insecurities about being rejected by his now-ex-girlfriend Tsubomi pose the greatest danger. After???% is released into the world, it goes on the hunt for Tsubomi.

Since none of his influential friends are able to dissuade him, Mob must rely on Reigen to help him deal with his emotions while also enduring the physical violence of???%. Although Mob and???% are fighting it out in the mindscape, the winner will likely be Mob. Fans of the anime will have to wait until the Season 3 premiere of Mob Psycho to see how the story concludes. In the meantime, stay tuned!
