My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 17 Recap
Endeavor married Rei Himura under a Quirk to fulfill his desire to have children that could outperform All Might. Endeavor declined to train Toya Quirk when she was a young child. Although his flame was stronger than Endeavor’s, he was still prone to self-burning. In either case, Toya chooses to train alone to demonstrate his strength. Endeavor reprimands Toya for his burns and tells him to have an everyday life.
Endeavor separates Shoto from his siblings after Toya tries to attack Shoto and asks Rei to keep an eye on Toya. While Toya is training, Rei tries to stop him, but Toya lashes out at his mother. After a while, Toya’s flame turns blue, and he requests that his father take a day off to visit the mountains.
When Endeavor notices Toya’s burns, she becomes enraged at Rei for letting her continue training. Rewinding to the present, the family admits they were all involved in Toya’s misfortune. Rei assures Endeavor that he is not alone and that they will help him stop Dabi.
When Hawks and Best Jeanist arrive, they inform Endeavor of the happenings over the previous two days. High-Ends, the Paranormal Liberation Front, and the League of Villains are still at large. Several heroes have also retired, and the populace has turned to support items. Hawks and Best Jeanist support Endeavor and suggest that they work together.
When Hawks questions Endeavor about One for All, she recalls Midoriya. All Might is still keeping watch over the unconscious Midoriya while she converses with the former One for All users.
