Following the South Korean representation at the Fall/Winter 2023 menswear shows during Paris Fashion Week, the ensuing week of haute couture shows did not dissapoint with its K-pop star power. Jisoo from BLACKPINK returned to Paris Fashion Week on January 23 to attend the Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 presentation, which got things off to a solid start.
Jisoo, a brand ambassador for the fashion label since 2019, inspired Aubrey Hepburn with a chic updo and bangs to go with her chic white outfit. At the event, which also featured guests including Anna Wintour, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Korean actor Lee Suhyeok, the starlet sat next to Christian Dior CEO Delphine Arnault.
Suga of BTS made his Fashion Week debut at the Valentino Couture Spring 2023 presentation on the same Monday. This was his first appearance as a brand ambassador for the Italian luxury fashion house.
Suga attended the star-studded event in a flowing tan and peach suit, sitting front row with guests like Kylie Minogue, Sam Smith, Doja Cat, and Charli XCX, who worked with BTS on “Dream Glow.”
The Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton, who he first met in 2015 for Paris Couture Week, gave PFW regular G-Dragon a delightful surprise at the Chanel Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 show. When the BIGBANG leader attended the Chanel show with Anna Wintour, Baz Luhrmann, and Roger Federer in the front row, all eyes were on him and his stylish layered suit.
In other news, after being spotted at menswear presentations, KARD’s BM and K-R&B star GEMINI resumed their tour of fashion week with appearances at the Jean Paul Gaultier and Zadig & Voltaire shows, respectively.
