Hwarang was a Korean drama in which BTS member V, Park Seo-joon, and Park Hyung-sik all had recurring roles. Former Wooga Squad member Park Hyung-sik had previously discussed the closeness of his squad with others.
Hwarang featured Park Hyung-sik, Park Seo-joon, and V, a member of BTS. As a result of working together, the three became fast friends. Park Seo-joon eventually introduced the two to Choi Woo-sik and Peakboy, two of his other buddies. Wooga Squad is the name given to the group nowadays.

The members of BTS have always been quite complimentary of one another, but Park Hyung-sik even went so far as to claim that Park Seo-joon and BTS member V were his soulmates. The actor spoke about his relationship with a Korean magazine.
Working on projects brings you face-to-face with people you click with. Some people are just so easy to stay in touch with. The two people I collaborated with on the drama “Hwarang” are like my best friends in the world to me.
“I still run into them, and I often ask, ‘How are you doing?’ or ‘How about we have dinner together?'” he remarked in an interview with Star News in 2019.

Choi Woo-shik, V, and Park Seo-joon were also referred to as his “refuge” by the actor later that year in an interview. “We meet often and make completely ridiculous lame jokes,” Park Hyung-sik stated in an interview with Herald Pop.
