Famous musicians Corey Hart, David Clayton-Thomas, and Michael Buble were among those he uncovered. Pop was losing popularity, so he switched to rock. Additionally, he composed a number of musical works.

He never rested on his laurels, instead working as hard as he could for as long as he could because he knew that was the only way to stay in the spotlight.

The song became an instant success, reaching number one on the charts in both the United States and Canada. In 1958, he recorded four more songs, including the top-five hits “It’s Time to Cry” and “My Heart Sings,” which peaked at number four and fifteen, respectively.
