Pentagon’s Hui Will Be a Contestant on Mnet’s ‘Boys Planet’. Hui of the Pentagon will be a contestant on “Boys Planet” on Mnet. An exclusive media source from December 19 KST claims that the Pentagon member is now filming as a participant on the idol audition program Boys Planet.
After the success of “Girls Planet 999,” which featured the girl group Kep1er, comes the male-oriented “Boys Planet.” They started filming this month for “Boys Planet,” which has already chosen 98 contestants. The premiere date for the show is targeted at February 2023.

Hui
Hui, aka Lee Hoe-taek, is a famous South Korean singer, songwriter, and composer. He made his debut in October 2016 as the leader, main vocalist, and lead dancer of the Cube Entertainment boy band Pentagon.
He is the leader of MBC’s Favorite Entertainment trot boy group Super Five and was previously in the girl group Triple H with ex-bandmates Dawn and Hyuna. Hui contributes to the composition and production of most of Pentagon’s songs.
Wanna One’s “Energetic,” Nation’s Son’s “Never,” Produce X 101’s “Boyness,” JO1’s “Oh-Eh-Oh,” and Pentagon’s “Shine,” “Naughty Boy,” and “Daisy” are just a few of his most well-known works. Before joining Cube Entertainment, Hui was a trainee with JYP. At the JYP 7th Audition Final Round in 2010, he took first place for Best Male Vocal.
Hui was gearing up for his 2013 Chinese debut. He auditioned for Chinese Idol but was eliminated after placing 60th. After he left JYP and participated in an open audition in 2013, he was the only contestant chosen by all three major entertainment companies (Cube, Sonic Music, and Nega Network).

Hui performed at the KBS Festival in December 2013, where she danced to Son Dong-woon and Kwon So-special Hyun’s stage. Hui was featured in the music video and promotional materials for G.NA’s 2014 single “Secret.” Moreover, he had a cameo as a trainee in Rain’s “Rain Effect” and was given debut guidance by Rain himself.
Before making his debut with Pentagon, Hui served as a trainee for roughly six years. With Jinho and another female singer, Hui formed the vocal project group Seorin-dong Children in February 2015.
After the success of “For All the New Lovers,” the 1994 classic by Lee Won-jin [ko] and Ryu Keum-deok, a remake, was released. Cube’s Artist Development team originally hadn’t planned for the trio to work together, but after they recorded the guide, they decided to make it public.
