Is There A Release Date For PGA Tour 2K23?
The time and date of PGA Tour 2K23’s early access release have also been announced. Those who preorder the Tiger Woods edition of the game will be able to begin playing at midnight on October 10 (console time). That’s Monday, October 9 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time in the United States. For now, we don’t have an official Steam release date.
The release date for PGA Tour 2K23 is somewhere in the middle of October, however, it will differ depending on which platform you own (PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and maybe Switch in the future). Unfortunately, I have to break it to you right off the bat: Nintendo has not yet announced a release date for the Switch.
In reality, a Switch release has not even been hinted about. The previous installment, PGA Tour 2K21, was released simultaneously for Nintendo Switch and other platforms. A month was lost in the EU, but that was all. That’s the current state of affairs, then. We will revise and re-publish the article if necessary to reflect any changes.
On Friday, October 14, PGA Tour 2K23 will be available for purchase on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. But that’s for us regular folks who “just” buy the base game. That’ll set you back $60. (or seventy, if you get the cross-gen version). However, individuals who spend $100 on the Deluxe Edition or $120 on the Tiger Woods Edition will be able to start playing the game on Tuesday, October 11th.
Moreover, as you go through the tiers, you’ll unlock a greater variety of extra in-game things, such as cosmetics and virtual currency. You, of course, must decide for yourself whether or not the cost is justified.
Is PGA Tour 2K23 Available On Switch?
There is no Nintendo Switch port of PGA Tour 2K23 planned at this time, and there isn’t even an online or physical storefront where you may buy it. On August 22, 2K and HB Studios revealed that PGA Tour 2K23 will be released this year. The game would be playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
In October, PGA Tour 2K23 will launch with three days of early access for those who pre-ordered the Tiger Woods or Deluxe Editions. However, there was no mention of a Nintendo Switch release. This would be a departure from the series’ history, as a Switch version of PGA Tour 2K21 previously existed.

On the other hand, unlike the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation versions of PGA Tour 2K21, the Switch version lacked the Course Designer at launch. In 2020, however, 2K and HB Studios did make a U-turn and include it in the game as part of a launch-day update. It would appear that PGA Tour 2K23 is moving in the same direction as other sports video games on the Nintendo Switch.
For example, NHL and Madden have never released a game for the Switch, while WWE 2K hasn’t released a game for the Switch since 2016. Other games, such as FIFA and NBA 2K, do, although they have fewer customization options. However, this may change if 2K decides to make a Switch version of 2K23 available. If that’s the case, we’ll revise the article accordingly.
PGA Tour 2K23 Gameplay Features
Many of the new features introduced in the previous game are, of course, returning this year. You may now compete in the FedExCup with PGA TOUR MyCAREER, and the game’s exhibition, multiplayer, and Divot Derby modes are all returning. Modes aimed at less serious gamers are also included. In Topgolf, competitors take potshots at holes and strive to rack up the highest possible score. With the training mode, you may work on your swing, driving, chipping, and putting.

Online Societies bring back multiplayer for good, letting you form teams with your pals and compete in leagues that you create. Unfortunately, it appears that cross-play is not supported. According to 2K’s announcement, “Multiplayer modes can only be played with the same console or between generations within the same console family” (Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S; PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5).
