Queen of the Universe Season 2 Cast
It was noted by Entertainment Weekly that Trixie Mattel got particularly choked up by one performer’s performance of the iconic “Rehab” by Amy Winehouse during the first season of “Queen of the Universe.”
Michelle Visage made it plain to EW in an earlier interview that the competition is first and foremost a singing competition, and only secondarily a drag competition, despite the fact that WOW produced the show and drag queens are present onstage and on the judging panel. Although it is singing, what you think you know will be out the door because it is unmistakably different.
Vanessa Williams added, “It’s a worldwide aspect that we haven’t seen before, and it’s a singing competition; no one is lip-syncing, they’re all singing their own melodies. In addition to talent and musicality, we’ll be evaluating them on their star potential.
Despite its affiliation with the larger “Drag Race” franchise, it is obvious that “Queen of the Universe” is a unique creature. We may safely anticipate that Season 2 will significantly raise the bar given that Season 1 was packed to the gills with laugh-out-loud moments and startling eliminations (according to Distractify).
Naturally, having judges is also crucial. If there are no changes to the judge lineup, Michelle Visage, Trixie Mattel, Vanessa Williams, and Leona Lewis will all likely remain on the judging panel. The attitude informed Visage that she was really eager to collaborate with her pal Williams. It would be a tragedy to not have the judges return for Season 2 given how well they get along.
As a result, we’ll just have to wait and see who the upcoming round of contestants are, but it’s likely that the all-star panel will remain the same for Season 2.
