On the other hand, V’s FRI(END)S follows a distinct path, especially in its emphasis on English lyrics and distinctive artistic storytelling style. The obligatory 18-month military duty of South Korea’s Kim Taehyung commenced on December 11, 2023, when he enlisted. Regardless, he planned ahead and pre-recorded a number of projects, guaranteeing a constant flow of digital releases even when he wasn’t around.
His first solo album, Layover, which fused jazz, modern pop, and R&B, was released on September 8, 2023, and fans are eagerly awaiting his latest impending single. Taehyung and Riley McDonough’s collaboration has generated a lot of buzz, and it sets the stage for a sad yet fascinating musical adventure.
