The return of Sohee from Group Rise and Myung Jae-hyun from Boy Next Door as ‘M Countdown’ MCs has been officially announced. News broke on the 4th from Xports News that Rise Sohee and Boy Next Door Myung Jae-hyun will be joining current MC Sung Han-bin as new MCs for Mnet’s music program ‘M Countdown’ (henceforth “M Countdown”).
Miyeon of (G)I-DLE, who had been the most beloved ‘M Countdown’ MC for 2 years and 9 months, departed the show in November of last year. The result was a vacancy in the post of MC, which Miyeon had been sharing with Zero Base One’s Seong Han-bin since September of last year. Since its airing on November 16 of last year, ‘M Countdown’ has been under wraps as the CJ ENM awards show ‘MAMA Awards’ took place. “M Countdown” is gearing up for its first recording of the new year and will return to air next week. A new MC has been announced.

Specifically, the chosen MCs, Sohee of Rise and Myung Jae-hyeon of Boy Next Door, showcased their chemistry with Sung Han-bin on a September broadcast last year while serving as special MCs.
Fans of the so-called “next generation boy group” are eagerly anticipating the triple MC combo that Seong Han-bin, who has kept his place thanks to his steady talents, and the other two members—who have already established their popularity by being chosen as regular MCs after special MCs—will display.
