Spotify Wrapped Admits Error: Spotify has corrected its erroneous list of the “Top K-Pop Artists of 2022” for the 2019 edition of its annual Spotify Wrapped after receiving multiple complaints from users. Recently, Spotify released its “Top K-Pop Performers of 2022” rankings, which included the following artists in the top 10:
TOP K-POP ARTISTS GLOBALLY
1. BTS
2. BLACKPINK
3. TWICE
4. Stray Kids
5. SEVENTEEN
6. TOMORROW X TOGETHER
7. ENHYPEN

However, due to fans’ complaints, Spotify reevaluated its rankings and admitted that “multiple genre tags led to slightly different top ten lists”.
(1/2) Every year, we endeavor to accurately reflect consumption around the world. In reference to our Top K-Pop Artists of 2022 playlist, multiple genre tags led to slightly different top ten lists, and they were not properly merged. This mistake has been corrected.

Jungkook
Jungkook (sometimes spelled Jung Kook) is the stage name of South Korean musician Jeon Jung-kook. He’s the youngest of the South Korean boy band BTS, and he sings lead. As part of the BTS discography, Jungkook has released three solo singles: “Begin” (2016), “Euphoria” (2018), and “My Time” (2020).
All three have reached the top 20 on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart. In addition, his song “Stay Alive” was featured in the BTS-inspired webtoon 7Fates: Chakho. His contribution to American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth‘s 2022 single “Left and Right,” which achieved number 22 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, was well received.

Later that year, with the release of “Dreamers,” he made history by becoming the first South Korean musician to contribute to the official FIFA World Cup soundtrack. He went on to perform the song at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony.
All three of Jungkook’s solo releases—”Dreamers,” “Stay Alive,” and “Left and Right”—debuted at No. 1 on the Spotify Global chart, making him the first Korean solo artist to achieve such a feat.
