Steve Bannon Net Worth: American political strategist, filmmaker, media executive, and former investment banker Steve Bannon is perhaps best known for his time spent as the “White House” chief strategist during the first seven months of President Donald Trump’s administration. He attended the ‘Benedictine College Preparatory School’ after growing up in Norfolk, Virginia.
In time, he enrolled at the “Virginia Tech College of Architecture and Urban Studies” to learn about urban planning. After completing his time in the navy, he enrolled at the fictional “Harvard Business School” and earned his master’s degree in business administration there.
After working as an investment banker for a while, he relocated to Hollywood in the ’90s and found work as an executive producer on a number of films and documentaries. To spread his right-wing ideology, Steve helped found the alt-right news website Breitbart News in the late 2000s.
When Trump was running for president in 2016, he appointed him to run his campaign in August 2016. After Trump was elected president, Steve became his top adviser and strategist. The first seven months of Trump’s presidency were spent with him continuing to serve in the administration.
A staunch ally of nationalist, right-wing populist conservative organizations worldwide, he represents the far right.
Steve Bannon Early Life
On November 27, 1953, Steve Bannon was born to Martin and Doris Bannon in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. His ancestors were factory workers. His father was an executive and a telephone lineman. His mom stayed at home and raised him. His family was devout Christians. His Irish Catholic, pro-union parents were described by him as “hardcore Democrats.”
Steve grew up in the middle of a household of five children. As a young man, he attended Benedictine College Preparatory, a Roman Catholic military school for boys in Richmond, Virginia. Steve attended the “Virginia Tech College of Architecture and Urban Studies” after finishing high school in 1972.
His political views, however, had solidified by the time he finished college. His rise to the student government presidency began in his junior year. By that time, he had formed strong right-wing views. He attended “Virginia Tech” and earned a bachelor’s degree in urban planning in 1976. After that, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and became an auxiliary engineer.
Simultaneously, he enrolled in night sessions at “Georgetown University” in pursuit of a master’s degree in national security studies. After that, in the early 1980s, he enrolled at “Harvard Business School” to earn an MBA. He excelled academically and graduated from business school with honors. You may also read Kelly Clarkson
Steve Bannon Career
The prestigious investment bank and financial services firm “Goldman Sachs” hired him after he completed his MBA program. When the corporation was acquired and merged, he was working as an investment banker. Around the time the 1980s ended, the corporation began looking westward toward Hollywood and eventually made a foray into the media business.
Before leaving his job as vice president two years later, Steve relocated to Los Angeles and had been promoted to the position. Steve recruited a small group of Goldman Sachs workers and established Bannon & Co. as a competing investment bank. After that, he became a consultant for a production company and invested in the groundbreaking show Seinfeld.
Steve came to Los Angeles in the ’90s and started working as an executive producer after learning that the entertainment industry was a lucrative field. His first movie, “The Indian Runner,” which he produced in 1991, was a commercial failure. He directed another picture, 1999’s Titus. Also starting in the new millennium, he took the helm of the movie directing world.
His 2004 documentary film, “In the Face of Evil,” was about former U.S. president Ronald Reagan. After that, he helped finance and make movies like “Occupy Unmasked” and “The Undefeated.” The documentary film ‘Destroying the Great Satan: The Rise of Islamic Fascism in America’ (2007) was an outlet for his extreme right-wing views.
It was a very divisive movie that made fun of Jews and Muslims and claimed that the government and the media were aiding the creation of an Islamic state. He also has a background working for “Cambridge Analytica,” where he held the position of vice president. After the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, the company came under scrutiny over allegations that it stole data in an attempt to sway American voters.
Company ownership was shared among members of the Mercer family. The Breitbart family, who started the alt-right news site they named after themselves, was behind both. Steve was a co-founder of the news website “Breitbart News” back in its infancy in 2007. It is a conservative news outlet that regularly attacks Democrats, liberals, and progressives.
The website has been under fire for its alleged bigotry, sexism, and anti-LGBT bias ever since it first went live. By 2016, Steve had provided additional evidence that ‘Breitbart News’ was an alt-right media outlet. When he was in charge, the portal took on a decidedly nationalist tone. His 2012 appointment as executive chairman of the company marked a turning point for the alt-right, with Breitbart publishing a number of pieces of propaganda advocating stricter immigration rules and other such measures.
BIG WIN for Steve Bannon. “The judge” feels that the case against him is bogus-and will let him REMAIN FREE during the appeal. Go Steve ! (And props to his great lawyer too, David Schoen) pic.twitter.com/4QjFvVavMK

The website regularly used provocative headlines to draw in readers, and white supremacists were a common sight in the comments section. Steve started a radio show in 2015 that discussed alt-right ideas. Regularly appearing on the show ‘Breitbart News Daily,’ Donald Trump was a popular topic of conversation.
The beginnings of his run for president began at that time. His bond with Trump began on this show. Steve was named Donald Trump‘s chief executive officer of his presidential campaign in August of 2016. He planned meticulously to do things like make people nervous about the border and distrustful of Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton.
The effectiveness of Trump’s populist appeal increased, and he was ultimately elected in November 2016. Steve was Trump’s top lawyer at the outset of his presidency. Supposedly, he was the mastermind behind some of Trump’s most controversial decisions, like the travel ban on seven predominantly Muslim countries.
In addition, Trump appointed Steve to the newly established role of “chief strategist” in his cabinet. He joined the ‘National Security Council’ in a high-ranking capacity in January 2017. But in April of that year, he was fired. Nonetheless, he continued to back Donald Trump and said that the American media was behaving like an opposition party by condemning his every move.
Nonetheless, he frequently butted heads with other cabinet members and members of the Trump family over a wide range of subjects. He served as the president’s top advisor and principal strategist until his resignation in August 2017. This news of Steve’s return to “Breitbart News” was officially announced that very same day.
Soon after, in the editorial meeting, he made it known that he would fight everyone who opposed Trump. Steve and Trump had a falling out after the publishing of the explosive book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” in 2018.
Many contentious claims were made about Steve in the book. Steve made an effort to patch things up between himself and Trump but to no avail. He was removed from his position as executive chairman of “Breitbart” later on. But he kept on working for that company anyway.
