The members of the iconic Korean pop group BTS are all presently serving mandatory military service, hence the group is on hiatus. Kim Taehyung is still maintaining contact with his followers, nevertheless.
An unexpected update on V’s life since enlisting in required military service in December 2023 was shared with fans on Valentine’s Day by BTS member Kim Taehyung, better known as V.
V took to his Weverse account to announce that he has put on weight while serving in the military, disclosing that he is currently 72.5 kg. His weight had been a source of concern when it dipped to 63.4 kg in 2022 and was much lower at 62 kg before he enlisted, so this discovery thrilled admirers.

V had joked with his bandmates about having a weight gain contest before he enlisted, and he had set a goal to hit 86 kg while serving in the army.
“I will do an interim report,” V stated on Weverse in a message that was translated by a fan alias on X. We reached 72.5 kg. Coming back. Sticks with person. Thanks to V’s commitment to keeping them apprised of his well-being while serving, ARMY was both happy and touched by this surprise update.

The 28-year-old musician recently surprised his fans on Valentine’s Day with a floral-themed photoshoot for Celine, in addition to this health update. W Korea posted the photos to Instagram.

V represents the French high-end fashion label Celine as a brand ambassador. The singer from Inner Child embodied the essence of spring in the photo shoot by posing amidst a variety of flowers.
V and RM both joined the 2nd division of the ROK Army, where they both served in the special forces. On January 16, V and RM both graduated as top trainees from the Nonsan programme Centre, after finishing their five-week programme.
Each of the seven members of BTS is now serving their required amount of time in the military. It has been claimed that Jimin and Jungkook have enlisted with Jin in the 5th Infantry Division, while J-Hope is a Corporal officer and SUGA is a social worker.
Expectations for Jin and J-Hope’s discharge this year mean that the other members will finish their service in 2025. The anticipated release date for V is June 10, 2025.
