The Korean band BTS, not Taylor Swift, is the author of the enigmatically untitled book that has been circulating on social media. Last week, an unidentified book with the title 4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023 appeared on numerous bookstore websites.
Following a number of purported “Easter eggs” in her recent social media posts, many Swift fans started to speculate that the book was a memoir written by the 33-year-old singer.
However, the mystery book’s author has been confirmed to be the Grammy-nominated band BTS by the publishing house Flatiron Books.
Along with bandmates RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, journalist Myeongseok Kang co-wrote the book, Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS.
Since it was reported that the author would be revealed on June 13th, many had assumed that Swift had written the book before the reveal. The singer of “Red” is rumored to love the number 13.

However, the same day also marks the 10th anniversary of the 2013 release of BTS’s debut single, “No More Dream.” The Grammy-winning artist said last week that the re-recorded version of her 2010 album Speak Now would be released on July 7.

According to Swift, the album will be released on July 7th, “just in time for July 9th, IYKYK (if you know, you know)”. The single “Last Kiss” from the album makes mention to the date “9 July,” which also serves as the release date for the mystery novel, confusing fans even more.
Last week, the book was a bestseller on Amazon and Barnes & Noble due to the rumors surrounding its author. BTS is currently on break while some of the band members finish their South Korean military service.
The “Love Story” singer is presently on her Eras tour in the US, which runs through July.
