This holiday season, crimson will not only be decorating the halls but also the Grinch’s blood-red Santa Claus outfit. The hairy green antagonist is returning in XYZ Films’ latest parody horror film, which was inspired by the Dr. Seuss popular children’s fable.
The song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” that Thurl Ravenscroft first sang in the 1966 animated TV special “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” served as the inspiration for the title of the film “The Mean One,” which retells the infamous Grinch’s tale by removing all the kid-friendly whimsy and substituting a gruesome plot that leads to mounds of blood-stained snow.
Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystle Martin) has her parents killed and her Christmas stolen by a blood-thirsty green figure in a red Santa suit called The Mean One in a sleepy mountain town, according to the movie’s IMDb page.
If Dr. Seuss’s original Grinch was as cuddly as a cactus and as charming as an eel, director Steven LaMorte’s The Mean One (Da She discovers a new purpose in the monster’s capture and killing, though, as the ravaging, anti-Christmas monstrosity starts terrorizing the community.
If the first Grinch from Dr. Seuss was as lovable as a cactus and endearing as an eel, it sounds like Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystle Martin) might have to beat off David Howard Thornton’s The Mean One with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole. The movie’s IMDb website describes The Mean One as “a blood-thirsty green creature in a red Santa suit who murders Cindy

The Grinch 2 Release Date
The Mean One would be made available for free streaming on December 15, 2022, as it had been previously announced in October. But given that the new teaser solely made reference to the theatrical release, these plans may have changed. There is currently no release date for The Mean One on streaming services.

The Grinch 2 Plot
The human-like inhabitants of Whoville, known as Whos, are giddy with anticipation as they prepare to celebrate Christmas. The Grinch, who is grumpy, cantankerous, covered in green fur, and was born with a heart that is “two sizes too small,” is the only person who is not amused. He and his dog Max live in their cave, and he only ventures into Whoville to get groceries and annoy the Whos.
Cindy Lou Who, age 6, observes that her mother Donna is overburdened while attempting to care for both herself and her identical baby brothers, Buster and Bean. Cindy Lou originally plans to write a letter to Santa Claus to ask him to aid her mother, but after meeting the Grinch, who mockingly advises her that if the situation is so serious, she should speak with Santa in person, she decides to travel to the North Pole instead.
She decides to try trapping Santa with the assistance of her friends after Donna informs her that traveling back and forth to the North Pole will take a month. As Christmas draws near, the Grinch tries to interrupt a tree-lighting ceremony, but when all goes wrong, he remembers his confusing childhood, which he spent alone and unwelcome at an orphanage.

The Grinch quickly determines that in order to relieve his misery, he will steal Christmas from Whoville. The Grinch names the reindeer Fred and he and Max steal a sleigh from Bricklebaum, his next-door neighbor. When the Grinch and Max learn that Fred has a family after a trial run, the Grinch reluctantly decides to let Fred join them at their house.
On Christmas Eve, the Grinch and Max, who pulls the sleigh in Fred’s place, go down to Whoville to steal the ornaments and gifts after dressing as Santa Claus and creating a variety of tools to aid him in his scheme. Soon after falling for Cindy Lou’s trap, he runs into her.
The Grinch is moved by her plea to lessen her mother’s labor and her suggestion that he listen to the singing of the Whos to lift his spirits. The Grinch, who is unwilling to let go of the loneliness that Christmas gave him, persists in his objective in spite of this.
