Titanfall 2 Release Date, Single-Player Campaign, and Multiplayer Beta Confirmed

To promote its upcoming event, EA Play, the business released a trailer for Titanfall 2’s single-player campaign hours before EA’s own E3 2016 press conference. The game’s trailer has been released by the publisher. Titanfall 2 will be released on the 28th of October this year. It will be accessible on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 via EA’s Origin digital distribution service. After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that there will be a single-player campaign. Online play is emphasised, as well as “exploring the unique relationship between pilot and titan.” BT-7274 and its pilot, rifleman Jack Cooper, appear to be the culprits.

New enemy kinds were seen in the trailer, including what appeared to be a dragon, a large number of mechs, and some spectacular close quarters action between robots. It appears that Respawn is aiming for a style that is reminiscent of Isaac Asimov’s The Three Laws of Robotics, as the trailer refers to “protocols” that sound vaguely familiar.

Titanfall 2’s single-player campaign is a welcomed addition. Even more so when you consider that while the first game’s multiplayer was a blast, there was nothing to keep us interested in it on our own. It was Respawn Entertainment’s lack of resources that accounted for the previous entry’s lack of a single-player campaign.

After the video, the gameplay and customising options will be enhanced, as well as a deeper progression system, according to rehearsal footage. Fans can sign up for a multiplayer technical analysis on the official website. More information will be released in the coming days.
