Originally named Tracy Jamel Morgan, Tracy Morgan was born on November 10, 1968, in The Bronx, New York. Jimmy, Tracy’s father, was a recovered heroin addict who abandoned his wife and five kids when Tracy was just six years old. Mom Alicia stayed at home to raise Tracy.

Morgan, who grew up in the Tompkins Houses in Bedford Stuyvesant and was victimized by bullies there, says that she has never forgiven her tormentors.
