Traditional Korean Costumes: K-Pop is becoming more popular around the world, and it’s always exciting to see them bringing more of their culture to the forefront.
Many artists have begun to incorporate more elements of Korean culture into their songs, music videos, and live performances, such as sampling traditional songs, using traditional instruments, and even changing their outfits.

This is a wonderful way to honor and celebrate their heritage while also introducing it to a wider audience. Here are some music videos featuring hanbok-inspired outfits.
Thunderous – Stray Kids
This chart-topping song brilliantly combined Korean art and architecture with their modern vibes, while also rocking the hanbok and making them look GOLDEN.
Back Door Stray Children
I enjoy it when people combine traditional and modern styles. There’s no getting away from these kids, especially when they’re wearing beautiful jeogori over simple t-shirts and jeans.
TWICE – Laughter
These ladies had it all, from modern to vintage! Dahyun‘s lovely red-and-white floral hanbok brightened everyone’s day.
Luna ONEUS
For some reason, these boys just fit the concept so well every time they do it, and I’d love for them to keep doing it.
ONEUS – Litterature
If I had to pick a favorite ONEUS song, this would be it. With their various hanbok-inspired outfits and as they traverse different palace settings, the entire track is a walkthrough of Korean culture. My favorite prince so far.

Daechwita – Agust D
Two years later, this is still one of K-best pop releases. He is such a badass that he proved to the world that he would have been king and boss even if he had been born during the Joseon dynasty.
Idol – BTS
Despite being the most popular idol in the world, they never forget their roots. The song features traditional Korean instruments and phrases, as well as choreography inspired by Korean folk dance, and the members are dressed in hanbok-style clothing.
"Hallyu! The Korean Wave" @V_and_A was really interesting.
The abrupt contrast between ultra modern & traditional was a central theme: Period drama Hanbok & Squid Games costumes displayed next to each other

EXO Peaches, Kai
It comes as no surprise that Kai, our fashion king, would feature the best fashion in his solo music video. He wore traditional Korean hanbok while also wearing modern streetwear and pirate vibes.
