Details surrounding the Grammy-winning bassist’s untimely demise remain murky, with reports suggesting the incident occurred while he was house-sitting in Brussels, as revealed by his mother to TMZ.
It was only upon the return of his friends last week that Colin’s lifeless body was discovered. His recent relocation to the Belgian capital, where he intended to share his musical expertise at a conservatory, underscores the profound loss felt by both the music community and his loved ones.
At the time of his passing, she mentioned that Colin had been actively involved in composing music for a film. Colin’s departure from Train, renowned for chart-toppers like “Drops of Jupiter,” occurred in 2003 due to struggles with substance abuse.
This came a decade after he co-founded the band in San Francisco alongside frontman and the sole original member Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Jimmy Stafford, and Scott Underwood. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
