Tulsa King Episode 8 Release Date: Although Taylor Sheridan first gained attention as the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of great films like Sicario and Hell or High Water, he has recently shifted his attention to the small screen, where his neo-western Yellowstone has become one of television’s most-watched shows and spawned several spinoffs (including 1883 and the forthcoming 1923) in that time.
However, Sheridan isn’t solely interested in the Dutton family’s saga in Yellowstone. In the footsteps of fellow TV titans like Ryan Murphy, Shonda Rhimes, and Dick Wolf, Sheridan is leaving his mark everywhere he goes.
Tulsa King, starring everyone’s favorite boxer/action hero, Sylvester Stallone, as a mob capo who has just been released from prison and has to set up shop in the titular midwestern city, premieres this year.
Last year, he debuted Mayor of Kingstown, a crime drama set in a prison town starring Jeremy Renner. Tulsa King premieres on Paramount+ alongside Sheridan’s other flagship series, Yellowstone, just like Kingstown did before.
But it also adheres to the tried-and-true Sheridan formula: a show anchored by a charismatic, recognizable lead actor (Stallone in Tulsa, Renner in Kingstown, and Kevin Costner in Yellowstone) and revolving around a conflict rooted in cultural differences.
Sheridan teams up with Terence Winter, the man behind The Wolf of Wall Street and the creator of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and Vinyl, for Tulsa King, and the show wastes no time getting its premise rolling. In the first episode, Dwight Manfredi (Stallone) is 75 years old and has just been released from a New York prison.
Soon after arriving in Long Island, he is contacted by his bosses and informed that he is being transferred to Tulsa to establish a new branch of the alleged criminal empire. Once in Tulsa, Dwight does whatever he pleases, from hiring a random cab driver to taking over a marijuana dispensary run by a cynical man named Bodhi (Martin Starr).
Fun to watch, primarily when Stallone interacts with local characters like the saloon owner/bartender (Garrett Hedlund) and a party girl who may or may not be a little more than a party girl (played by the hilarious Andrea Savage, in a rare dramatic role).
Tulsa King Episode 8 Release Date
On Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 12 am PT / 3 am ET, Paramount+ will premiere the eighth episode of Season 1 of Tulsa King. Tulsa King, unlike many other shows, which have taken a break over the holidays, keeps on entertaining fans with brand-new episodes every week.
Only two episodes will remain in the first season with this week’s release. Aside from that, the season is not airing on cable and can only be seen via Paramount+’s streaming service. There are two different subscription options on the streaming service’s website.

Tulsa King Episode 8 Plot
Goodie went to Tulsa in the seventh episode to mediate a peace treaty between Chickie and Dwight. Stacey found out that Groom had been murdered and that an informant had blamed Dwight for the crime. She then confronted Dwight, who neither admitted nor denied his guilt. It is then revealed that the informant is Groom’s girlfriend.
After attempting to find Waltrip’s murder weapon in his computer, Waltrip strangles her to death. Dwight appears to have moved on from Stacey, as he is seen on a date with the ranch’s owner, Margaret, and the two seem to have a lot in common and get along well.

Tulsa King Episode 8 Recap
Dwight Manfredi’s friend Goodie flies to Tulsa to mend fences between Dwight and Chickie. Stacy finds out that Groom was murdered, and according to her source, Dwight committed the crime. Dwight, whom she confronts, neither confirms nor denies her suspicions of his involvement in the murder.
Stacy tries to get her mole, who just so happens to be Groom’s girlfriend, to give her evidence so that she can arrest Groom girlfriend. However, she is captured by the ringleader when she goes after Waltrip’s computer, which contains the Black McAdams’ publications. After Waltrip plays with her, she dies from strangulation.
Dwight is going out with Margaret, who owns the ranch. Given Stacy and Dwight’s current relationship, their chemistry is undeniable. Bodhi is the second-biggest crook after Dwight. He claims to The General that he has millions of dollars stashed away in secret accounts he obtained by stealing cryptocurrency from bitcoin investors.
