TXT made history by performing at two stadiums that had never hosted a K-pop concert before, the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum and Houston’s Minute Maid Park. They also set a new K-pop record by selling out two shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden, a venue known for hosting legendary artists like Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Taylor Swift.
Their live performances were a blend of energy and creativity, featuring unique arrangements and varied stage concepts. TXT wowed North American fans with a Korean traditional music version of “Sugar Rush Ride” and showcased their rock influences with songs like “Growing Pain” and “PUMA.” Special unit performances by members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai highlighted their diverse styles.
The crowd also enjoyed “Cat & Dog (English ver.),” and TXT paid homage to local culture by singing parts of Sting’s “Englishman in New York” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” while donning jackets of local sports teams like the New York Rangers and Chicago Bulls.
The members expressed their gratitude, saying, “We were truly happy to see everyone dancing and singing along to our songs. We realized once again that our happiness comes from MOA (our fandom). We will work harder to become artists that MOA can be proud of. Although we don’t visit the U.S. often, we promise to create unforgettable memories whenever we do.”
After the successful North American tour, TXT will continue its third world tour in Japan this July. They will perform at four major domes for the first time since their debut, starting with Tokyo Dome on July 10, followed by Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome. Before heading to Japan, they will also participate in the ‘2024 Weverse Con Festival’ at Inspire Entertainment Resort in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, on the 15th.
