A much-touted idol who drew comparisons to V of BTS has finally debuted. Photos of rookie boy group WAKER member Kwon Hyeop went viral in December of last year, capturing the interest of several online forums. Internet users couldn’t help but notice one image, which left them perplexed as to whether or not it could be V.
Following the posting of his images, members of popular online communities engaged in a contentious discussion about how similar Kwon Hyeop and V looked.
At long last, Kwon Hyeop returned to the limelight on January 8 with his debut with WAKER. The question of whether Kwon Hyeop resembles V has resurfaced among Korean internet users.
