“Adult Korean men had an average height of 172.5 cm, and adult Korean women had an average height of 159.6 cm, respectively,” as reported by Hankyoreh from a body index survey.
According to these measurements, a large number of the K-Pop artists included on this compilation are shorter than the typical person. The tallest female K-pop idol is still GreatGuys member Uiyeon, who stands at 192 cm (6 feet 3 inches), however O21’s Lina (Myoui Rina) is the tallest at 178 cm (5 feet 10 inches).
It goes without saying that physical stature has nothing to do with ability; after all, “big things come in small packages.” And these talented musicians have accomplished nothing but great things throughout the years.
These little powerhouses are never the targets of taunting comments from their towering bandmates. Regardless of the significant height disadvantage they may face, they are determined not to blend in.
