“Midnight Romance in Hagwon” (formerly “Graduation”), starring Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won, is getting ready to premiere!
“Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is the latest romantic drama from filmmaker Ahn Pan Seok, known for his work on popular Korean romance films including “Something in the Rain,” “One Spring Night,” and “Secret Love Affair.” The story takes place in Daechi, a district known as the private school capital of the country.
An instructor, played by Wi Ha Joon, devotes many hours to helping a pupil, Lee Joon Ho, get into a famous institution. Surprisingly, Lee Joon Ho winds up leaving a big firm and eventually returning to the academy as a rookie instructor. He can’t get over his initial love, Seo Hye Jin, his academy teacher (Jung Ryeo Won), even though he’s an adult now.
A renowned instructor with fourteen years of experience, Jung Ryeo Won will portray Seo Hye Jin. A character who has never experienced loss is Seo Hye Jin. Unexpected changes come to her life from the mischievous kid she helped send to a famous institution, Lee Joon Ho, just as she is fretting about life and dwelling on regrets of the past.
Actor Wi Ha Joon plays the role of rookie teacher Lee Joon Ho, who disrupts Seo Hye Jin’s routine and emotions. Lee Joon Ho returns to the private educational school (hagwon) where his life was drastically transformed, leaving aside the chance to work for a huge firm and secure his future. Lee Joon Ho persists in approaching Seo Hye Jin despite her strong opposition to this.
