One of the most well-known beers in the country is Bud Light. Conservatives have been upset with the brand for a recent campaign that put Dylan Mulvaney, a popular transgender TikTok star, on their beer cans. A lot of Republicans and people who don’t like transgender people were upset by this. This can isn’t even widely available; Mulvaney is the only one who has it.
People are so angry about this small change that only affects how some beer cans will look for a short time. But the beer hasn’t really changed in any important way.
Anheuser Busch, which owns Bud Light, has also given hundreds of thousands of dollars to political causes that are against LGBTQ people. That won’t change if they put Mulvaney’s face on some of their beer cans.
People who usually drink Bud Light were very upset about these cans. On social media, there are a lot of videos of people throwing away their Bud Light boxes. This is shown best in a movie by Kid Rock, which has been seen by a lot of people.
This is just the latest example of the right’s “cancel culture.” The same thing happened with Keurig and Nike. This is just Republicans getting upset over nothing. Then, they destroy these goods online and make a big deal about it. About a month later, they forget everything and use these goods again.
Conservatives often moan about “the intolerant left” and how liberals love to cancel everything. Then, these same people will be upset that the M&M candy spoke candy changed shoes. It’s the worst kind of lying.

As soon as these “boycotts” end, there are news stories about how sales of a certain product are down. It’s happening right now with Bud Light, but sales won’t stay down, and the company won’t be hurt. Anheuser Busch’s stock is fine. After the first day of trading, the price of the stock went down a bit, but it has since gone back up.
All Bud Light is doing to get more people to buy their beer is putting a famous person on the can. If they really wanted to help, they would give money to LGBTQ+ groups and try to get their parent company to stop giving money to politicians who hurt these communities.

Companies like Jack Daniels are promoting LGBTQ creators in video series and giving money to GLAAD as part of a full effort. Compared to what Bud Light is doing, this effort is doing a lot more, but consumers are much less angry about it.
All of this shows how little Republicans care about the things they don’t like. They only care how things look. They don’t care about what really matters. I don’t think many people would care if Bud Light gave 10% of their profits to nonprofits that help transgender people.
Who Is BodyCotting It?
After Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer, promoted Bud Light on social media on April 1, some conservative commentators and celebrities started asking for a boycott of the beer.
