Since the hit Freeform show Cruel Summer is a collection of short stories, the Cruel Summer cast for season 2 includes a whole new group of people for a new small-town tale. This time, our world is all about the year 2000.
It all started in the summer of 1999 in a town in the Pacific Northwest. This season’s main characters are Sadie Stanley (Kim Possible) and Lexi Underwood (Little Fires Everywhere, The First Lady), who could be best friends who have grown apart.
We see how they get closer throughout three-time blocks in 1999 and 2000, only for a big mystery to hit the town with them at its centre. Cruel Summer on Freeform airs every week at 9 p.m. EST. Here’s everything you need to know about the season 2 cast of Cruel Summer.

Cruel Summer Season 2 Cast
Sadie Stanley as Megan Landry
Sadie Stanley told Teen Vogue that her character, Megan Landry, is a “super smart, super ambitious coder” with a younger sister and a single mom who raises them. Stanley says from the set in Vancouver, “She comes from a family where she knows she won’t get anything for free.

She must find her way and make her way in the world.” “She has a lot of big plans for her life.” Her main goal is to attend a good college and work at Apple afterwards.
Her friends, even her best friend Luke, aren’t as important to her. But when Isabella LaRue comes into her world, everything will be different for good.
Lexi Underwood as Isabella LaRue
Isabella LaRue is the key to the second season of Cruel Summer. Lexi Underwood, a big fan of the first season and now a rising star, is an excellent fit for the part.
Isabella is free-spirited and daring and isn’t afraid to take chances or push Megan out of her comfort zone. She comes to town as an exchange student to live with the Landrys for a year, taking a break from her glamorous jet-setting life.
Griffin Gluck as Luke Chambers
Griffin Gluck plays Megan’s best friend, Luke Chambers, who ends up in a love triangle with Megan and Isabella. In an interview with Nerds and Beyond, Gluck used the words “teen-angst, mystery, and nostalgia” to describe this season.
Gluck’s time on the show is also a reunion for him. One of his first parts was on the show Private Practice, and Paul Adelstein, who plays his father in Cruel Summer, was also his father on that show.

Gluck has been acting for a long time. His first big part was in the 2011 movie Go With It, which starred Jennifer Aniston. Since then, he has been in Tall Girl and its sequel, Big Time Adolescence, and Locke & Key.
Lisa Yamada as Parker Tanaka
Lisa Yamada says Parker Tanaka is an extraordinary girl who isn’t afraid to say what she thinks. She is one of Megan’s many friends and is also in a relationship with Brent Chambers (Braeden de la Garza), an older college guy.

“She says what she wants to say. No filter. “When I was in high school, I was not as cool as she was,” Yamada tells Teen Vogue. “She seems like a leader to me. She brings the energy of an alpha female into any room she is in. I’m not like that, but I can learn much from her.”
Braeden de la Garza as Brent Chambers
The best way to describe Brent Chambers is that he’s a classic. He’s just a guy, the kind of tough college frat guy everyone knows. “My character, Luke’s older brother Brent, is cocky,” Braeden de la Garza tells Teen Vogue about his role.
But does Brent have more going on than meets the eye? “As the season goes on, you see much more depth.” Brent is also in a relationship with Parker, played by Lisa Yamada. Their relationship might not be as deep, though. “Most of the time when they talk, Brent says, ‘Wow, you’re so hot,'” laughs de la Garza.
