The Weeknd and BLACKPINK’s Jennie have released a new song for The Idol; ‘One Of The Girls’ can be heard below. Sam Levinson, the director of Euphoria, created The Idol, which follows the story of a pop sensation (Lily-Rose Depp) who develops a controversial relationship with a self-help guru and cult leader (Abel Tesfaye).

Depp also appeared on two new The Weeknd songs from the show’s soundtrack, ‘World Class Sinner/I’m A Freak’ and ‘The Lure’, which were released this month. Now, Tesfaye has collaborated on a new song with Jennie, who also appears in The Idol as one of Depp’s support dancers, Dyanne.

The first single from the HBO series was titled ‘Double Fantasy’ and featured The Weeknd (now using his birth name, Abel Tesfaye) in collaboration with Future. Similar to ‘The Lure,’ the collaborative single was produced by The Weeknd and Mike Dean and was accompanied by a music video featuring clips from the program.

Recently, the singer-songwriter and actor released the single ‘Popular,’ which featured Playboy Carti and the musical queen Madonna. With production from Tesfaye, Mike Dean, and Metro Boomin, it was also disclosed that all of the series’ songs would be featured on the June 30 release of ‘The Idol, Vol. 1’.
The Weeknd is on a stadium tour in the United Kingdom to promote his most recent two albums, ‘Dawn FM’ and ‘After Hours.’

“The Weeknd’s knack for dominating the charts with hit-after-hit-after-hit means that there might’ve been some debate over which track should end his main set tonight, but ‘Blinding Lights’, off 2020’s ‘After Hours’, is the obvious choice: a stadium-uniting force that prompts the kind of mass singalong you’d probably be able to hear over at Old Trafford on the other side of Manchester.”
