Reassuring Words from MONSTA X’s Joohoney
In his statement,
JOOHONEY artfully weaved references to all the track titles from his EP “Lights,” encompassing the lead single “Freedom” and the closing track “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” He further wrote, “Thank you Monbebe, I am filled with energy and feel free to hear your voices.” “Looking at myself grow, the monologue I said alone is now filled with Don’t worry, be happy.” JOOHONEY also took time to reflect on his special connection with his fans. “Recalling those days that were full of [his] passion and sweat,” he asked his fans, “You caught me, didn’t you?”
“While the news of JOOHONEY’s enlistment is bound to disappoint some fans, he parted ways with his most devoted supporters, expressing love and gratitude.”

“I’ll come back to show you a better version of me when I return,” he promised. “As I said, this time is just a comma for us. It’s not a period but a comma with a continual promise for the future. I love you all day; I love you always so in love with yourself. I truly thank you for showing me what love is.” Eagle-eyed MONSTA X stans will recognize those final lines as references to the lyrics of the group’s “By My Side,” the penultimate track from 2018’s Take1 Are You There? Album.
JOOHONEY, as part of MONSTA X, contributed to the success of one title that reached the top five of the Billboard 200: “All About Luv” in 2020, securing the No. 5 spot. Additionally, the group impacted the Billboard Artists 100, spending four weeks on the chart and reaching a peak of No. 6 in 2020.
