Is it safe to assume that Nanami, Naobito, and Maki perished as a result of Jogo’s strike in Episode 15 of Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen? Since the Shibuya Incident arc of the Jutsu Kaisen anime is coming to a close, the stakes are getting higher with each new episode. The fight between Toji and Dagon was a treat for the audience. The Spirit of Zenin has returned, and this time he intends to kill the most powerful opponent in his immediate vicinity.
In addition, after hearing of Dagon’s demise, Nanami, Maki, and Naobito are burned by the special-grade curse Jogo in Episode 15 of Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. The sorcerers were already battered up from their combat with Dagon.
They were outmatched even when all four of them collaborated against him. They had already spent all their cursed energy and suffered all those wounds when Jogo decided to exact revenge for the loss of his friend. Is Nanami Dead?
Despite being a curse himself, Jogo was pained by the deaths of his people and swore vengeance. His expression of sorrow was palpable as he set fire to the three sorcerers. In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 15, Nanami and Maki both survive the attack, however, Naobito dies a few days later.
His injuries were fatal, yet he didn’t pass away right away. But we will know what happened to Nanami in the next episode. Naobito was near death when he had Furudate read his will to Ogi, Junichi, and Naoya Zenin in Itadori’s Extermination arc. Nanami and Maki are also seriously hurt. Nanami will perish in the upcoming episodes. Despite being mortally wounded, he persisted in his killing of transfigured mankind.

In the end, he runs into Mahito, who detonates his top torso in front of Yuji. After Shibuya was destroyed, the young sorcerer was already on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and his struggle with Mahito only served to heighten his feelings of hopelessness and rage.
However, in the manga, Maki survives, but she still bears the marks of the attack. According to Yuki, the only reason Maki is still alive is because of the divine constraint that gave her superhuman power.
However, the Reverse Cursed Technique would not work on her scars. Since Maki is not the vain sort, that’s probably for the best. As a woman who challenges the norms of a patriarchal Jujutsu society, her new design is undoubtedly superior.

A Showdown Between Nanami and Jogo
After Dagon’s death, the Sorceres returned to reality, and the sad tragedy occurred. However, no one could have predicted that after Dagon, an even more dangerous surprise would be waiting for them. The presence of Jogo caught everyone off guard, and in a touching moment, the Curse expressed sadness at the loss of his people (Dagon) and vowed to deal with the Sorcerers.

As Dogon’s ashes faded, Jogo let loose his fire magic on the Sorcerers, instantly killing and incinerating Nanami, then Maki Zenin, and last Naobito. An obvious question arises as we watch our beloved Sorcerers engulfed in flames: is it possible that Kento Nanami has truly met his fate, or is there even a glimmer of hope for his survival?
Did Nanami Have Any Chance of Survival When Mahito Attacked Him?
But Nanami’s ordeal wasn’t done by a long shot. As he maintained his unrelenting battle against the Curses, a hand made contact with his chest, and to his dismay, it belonged to Mahito. At that very moment, Nanami realized his trip was over. He thought of his best friend, Yu Haibara, in his final moments. Mahito dealt the killing blow in an instant, severing the upper half of Kento Nanami’s body, sealing his fate, and ending his courageous life.
