The new “Build Up” survival show teaser has been revealed by Mnet! Forty individuals, including members of existing male groups, will compete on the new survival show “Build Up” for the opportunity to make their vocal group debut. The program will be hosted by actress Lee Da Hee and will feature contestants from various groups and individual artists, including PENTAGON’s Yeo One, CIX, AB6IX, UP10TION, KNK, A.C.E, WEi, ONE PACT, VANNER, JUST B, BDC, Newkidd, and more.
Lee Seok Hoon, Baekho, Eunkwang of BTOB, Solar of MAMAMOO, Wendy of Red Velvet, and Kim Jae Hwan are all members of the star-studded panel of judges.
The 40 hopefuls competing for positions in the final four are showcased in the recently released teaser. “You have a powerful voice,” and “You have a voice that I would like to have” are just a few of the complimentary remarks exchanged by the forty players as they make small talk in the teaser. But the trailer also shows the contestants thinking things like, “But I don’t think I want to be in a quartet with you,” which increases the suspense and makes us want to see more of the show.

In addition to the other finalists, the teaser also features Yeo One, the main vocalist of PENTAGON. Yeo One looks self-assured in one scene then nervous and embarrassed in another, which makes us wonder how he handles the intense competition. A sneak peek at the show’s critical evaluation of the contestants follows, hinting at a possible reuniting of vocal teacher Lee Seok Hoon and contestant Jay Chang, who crossed paths last year on Mnet’s “Boys Planet” and served as teammates.
