All of Us Strangers Story
Based on a synopsis provided by Searchlight Pictures, “All of Us Strangers” follows screenwriter Adam (Scott) as he has a fortuitous encounter with his neighbor Harry (Mescal) “that punctures the rhythm of his everyday life.”
The plot, which takes place in a London high-rise, takes a supernatural turn when “as Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where it appears his long-dead parents (Foy and Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died thirty years before.” Variety stated in 2022 that the film was inspired by Taichi Yamada’s novel of the same name.

Haigh, a film industry magnate, directed the film. He previously directed the LGBTQ+ love story “Weekend” (2011) and the independent films “45 Years” (2015) and “Lean on Pete” (2017). His other credits include executive producing and directing the first two seasons of HBO’s “Looking” (2014–16) and creating “The North Water” (2021) for the BBC and AMC.
Who Plays the Lead Role in “Strangers All Of Us”?
Although there aren’t many actors listed for All of Us Strangers, it’s safe to assume that their efforts will not go unrewarded. Adam is played by award-winner Andrew Scott, whose portfolio includes roles in significant dramas including Victor Frankenstein, Denial, and 1917, in addition to the Bond picture Spectre.
Paul Mescal, who starred as Connell in the Hulu limited series Normal People and was nominated for an Academy Award for his part in Aftersun, portrays Adam’s secret admirer, Harry. Along with Saoirse Ronan, Mescal will make her debut later this year in the highly-anticipated picture Foe.
Claire Foy and Jamie Bell play the roles of Adam’s living, breathing parents. Foy starred as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown and most recently appeared in the Oscar-winning film Women Talking, directed by Sarah Polley. Bell is another actor with a long list of credits that includes roles in popular films like Rocketman, Fantastic Four, King Kong, and Billy Elliot.

The preview takes a sinister turn when we meet Andrew Scott’s Adam and learn that he saw the deaths of his parents when he was a young boy. Then, in the current day, his mother (Claire Foy) and father (Jamie Bell), who clearly isn’t dead, talk to him. Brief glimpses of Adam’s relationship with Paul Mescal’s Harry can be seen throughout the trailer.
