The YG Group BLACKPINK’s agency has disclosed that it will announce the decision on the re-contracting of BLACKPINK members Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo at a later date. On November 14th, the agency released its quarterly report, which included these data.
Contract Changes for BLACKPINK are Announced by YG Entertainment
As of the date of disclosure, all four members of BLACKPINK—Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo—are reportedly in negotiations with YG Entertainment for new exclusive contracts. Especially those pertaining to crucial management issues and investment decisions will include the final outcome of these discussions.
The agency and BLACKPINK have been in talks about working together in the future, and this announcement marks a major milestone in those talks. The pronouncement by the agency, which follows around two months of renegotiation, serves as the official statement on the matter. BLACKPINK has been in talks with YG about extending their contracts since their debut in August 2016.
The two parties have been in talks since August to extend their exclusive agreement by several years beyond its current expiration date of July 2020. On September 25th, YG officially answered Newsen about rumours that three BLACKPINK members (Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo, except Rosé) might not extend their contracts with the company.

As of that date, YG Entertainment has not made a final decision on whether or not to re-sign the BLACKPINK members or what their future plans would be. The purpose of the statement is to set the record straight and dispel speculations by making it clear that the subject was still being discussed and no final choices had been made as of yet.

Is Jennie’s Purchase of a Condo in UN Village a Smart Financial Move?
A member of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, named Jennie, has reportedly spent 5 billion Korean won on a new condominium in the UN Village. Her investment is noteworthy because UN Village is widely regarded as one of the poshest and chic neighbourhoods in all of Seoul. Notably, Jennie apparently got the property totally in cash, without resorting to bank loans or instalments.
The apartment has a desirable position within the complex and is believed to have five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Actor Lee Jong Suk is also identified as the owner of a home in the same apartment complex. Jennie started the buying process in 2021, making a huge real estate investment.
