BTS V is currently more concerned with his military career than his music career, but he’s still showing that he’s a formidable salesman. The superstar has a new single out, and his legion of devoted followers has wasted no time in purchasing every single copy of the song.
At the moment, V holds four positions within the top ten on iTunes’ list of the most popular songs in the United States. All four songs are covers of his recently released single “Fri(end)s,” which came out in various formats.
Here in the United States, “Fri(end)s” is currently sitting pretty at No. 1 on the iTunes list. Even though he is a world-renowned musician, not even V can compete with Cardi B right now. A member of BTS follows in the rapper’s footsteps as his latest track “Enough (Miami)” rockets to the top of the charts.

Coming up next on V’s chart is the instrumental version of “Fri(end)s,” which reaches number five. Any artist would be proud of two consecutive top five places on iTunes, but V’s feat is all the more remarkable given that the two songs they won with are virtually identical.

Two versions of “Fri(end)s,” one slower and one faster, are both in the top ten on iTunes as of Friday morning (March 15). At this time, the slower one is more popular than the other; it comes in at number six, right behind the instrumental version of the song. The accelerated take is ranked eighth.
Multiple versions of a single are now standard practice for most artists. While some musicians release multiple singles within a week after a song’s full tracks, others spread out the releases so that fans have more opportunities to acquire the song.
