On January 24, 2024, at midnight KST, IU’s Love Wins All, starring Kim Taehyung, was released. The music video depicts a touching romance between IU’s deaf character and Taehyung’s (also known as V) blind character. A huge cube floats in the air, and the pair is seen fleeing from it.
The MV tells a tragic story, but fans have also found humorous things to chat about. If you stick around until the credits roll, you’ll see that the notorious cube from the music video is listed as a “Special Guest.” What makes it so funnier is that they didn’t even bother to give the cube a name or give it any kind of entity meaning; they just slapped its outline on.
Fans of both IU (Uaena) and BTS (ARMYs) who have observed it are discussing its meaning on social media while attempting to rein in their laughing. While doing so, they have generated several theories about the cryptic cube.

Love Wins All is IU’s tenth digital single and a pre-release track for her upcoming album; it marks her return after more than two years. Since its announcement, the collaborative endeavor between the Lilac singer and the BTS idol has been the talk of K-pop town.
Kim Taehyung’s acting abilities more than compensate for the fact that he does not provide vocals to the song. The return of his acting self alongside IU, widely regarded as one of the top idol actors in K-entertainment, has delighted fans.
Directed by Um Tae-hwa of Concrete Utopia, the music video features Taehyung and IU attempting to shield each other in a seemingly post-apocalyptic world from the menacing cube. When they stumble into a camcorder while running, they experience a fleeting sense of joy.
The music video’s actors spared no effort in evoking strong feelings from viewers, but the enigmatic cube has kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Luckily, a kind X user named @Romantic Tae has copied and pasted an explanation from the widely-read South Korean forum The Qoo. Their statement was as follows:
“IU is deaf and V is blind in one eye…
That square box seems to be the entity that destroys those marginalized people and that camcorder seems to show people in a world where they are not discriminated against.”

Drama, Next Stop, Winter Sleep, You, and Love Letter are the five songs that make up IU’s December 2021 EP Pieces, which was their penultimate release before a hiatus. Since the pre-release song is out, her fans have been eagerly anticipating her 2024 album.
Along with BTS leader RM, Kim Taehyung of BTS also recently graduated as an Elite Soldier from the Nonsan Training Center, where they both completed basic military training. For his song “Slow Dancing,” V was recently presented with a tangible trophy for being named “Song of 2023” on Tokyo FM.
