“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” is an upcoming drama on KBS 2TV, and now we have a new look at the two main characters! The romantic comedy “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” follows a production director (PD) as he falls head over heels for an actress who has fallen from grace one night.
Actress Park Do Ra, played by Im Soo Hyang, got her start in the industry as a child actress who was hauled from scene to set by a cruel stage mom. She has been her mother’s moneymaker for the past fifteen years, during which time she has amassed an excellent career and filmography. But when she crosses up with Go Pil Seung (Ji Hyun Woo), the drama’s assistant director, her life takes a surprising turn.
Park Do Ra, who plays the protagonist in the new stills from “Beauty and Mr. Romantic,” reads the screenplay of her subplot with intense concentration. Another shot shows the actress’s ice-cold, expressionless face, which betrays her extreme weariness after years of nonstop effort.
Go Pil Seung, a dedicated rookie police officer with an iron will, will be portrayed by Ji Hyun Woo. Strong and cunning, Go Pil Seung isn’t afraid to show his true colors and uses flattery to achieve his goals. But he’s not ready for the mayhem that ensues when he unexpectedly reunites with Park Do Ra, the girl who had a crush on him when they were younger.

Despite appearing uneasy, Go Pil Seung is shown in a new still working tirelessly on the drama set, spraying water for a rain scene by himself. Go Pil Seung can be seen in one shot looking at Park Do Ra with a subtle smile, while in the next he is shown with a scowl, making us wonder what could have caused such a dramatic shift in his mood.
On March 23 at 7:55 p.m. KST, “Beauty and Mr. Romantic” will make its Viki debut.
