Alert: Missing People Unit has taken us on a journey since January; tragically, its 10-episode season is ending. We knew we wouldn’t have much time with the show because it was a midseason FOX offering before it went on break, but the time flew by so quickly!
Since the beginning, this series has drawn a devoted following eager to discover what happened to Nikki and Jay’s son Keith and whether or not he is who they believe him to be or if he is an entirely different young man.
His sister Sidney was dubious as his parents were attempting to meet the requirements of both of their children while also keeping track of the whereabouts of other people’s loved ones. A lot was going on and still will be.
Alert Renewed For Season 2
What are the possibilities for a second season? With FOX, it’s difficult to say. In the past, many shows have been canceled without being given a fair chance. Just consider The Gifted and The Prodigal Son as two examples.
We might even revisit Dark Angel to observe hurried cancellations. Alert is in the center of the live ratings, and FOX may go anyway. It ranks 10th out of 16 scripted shows in the demo, slightly below The Cleaning Lady (which has already been renewed).
It has a better viewership share overall than The Cleaning Woman, which increases the likelihood that it will be renewed. The possibility of The Resident’s cancellation after six seasons must also be considered. This might make space for Alert.
The fact that Alert is a midseason program means that live numbers will be lower than live ratings, but they are still impressive. This raises the possibility that the show will be revived. The decision on whether to cancel or renew the series won’t likely be made until closer to May.

About Alert TV Show
Scott Caan, Dania Ramirez, Adeola Role, Ryan Broussard, and Graham Verchere are the prominent cast members of the FOX television series Alert: Missing People Unit, which also has Petey Gibson and Fivel Stewart in recurring roles. The Missing People Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department serves as the central focus of the narrative (MPU).
The unit is led by Nikki Batista (Ramirez), whose relationship with Jason Grant (Caan) soured after their son Keith (Verchere) vanished six years ago. Now a private detective, Jason gets a possible “proof of life” photo that suggests Keith might still be alive. Nikki decides to enlist him into the group as a result.
They collaborate with a group of highly qualified people at the MPU. Batista and Mike Sherman (Broussard) first connected when he was tasked with leading the hunt for Keith. Kemi Adebayo (Role) combines her skills as a shaman and multilingual fluency to approach her work holistically.
She is also very wise with visual cues. Moreover, there is C (Gibson), a forensic anthropologist who specializes in reconstructing the faces of the missing. The crew collaborates to locate the lost, kidnapped, or abducted before it’s too late and return them to their families.
Season One Ratings
Alert: Missing People Unit had an average of 2.17 million viewers and a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 age group for its first season. These figures indicate how a show performs, especially compared to other programs on the same channel, even though they do not consider subsequent delayed or streamed viewing.
Other economic considerations may affect a show’s fate, but traditionally, the shows with more excellent ratings are renewed while those with lower ratings are canceled. See how Alert: Missing People Unit compares to other FOX television programs.
