Even though it was released months ago to the viewers of “The Idol” without any sort of advertising, “One of the Girls” by BLACKPINK’s JENNIE, in collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, is still doing quite well on music platforms.
With this achievement, “One Of The Girls” has surpassed 200 million views on Spotify, making it the first song by a K-pop act in 2024 to do so. Daily streams consistently ranging from 3 million to 5 million were the driving force behind this feat.
Due in large part to this success, it has been in the Top 50 on Spotify for an unprecedented 100 days. This song reached number five on the global chart for the longest-charting K-Pop solo artist, surpassing both Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You” (97 days) and Jungkook & Jack Harlow’s “3D” (90 days).

The song “One Of The Girls” recently made headlines in a Billboard article that detailed its meteoric rise to fame, which the publication attributed in large part to the widespread distribution of TikTok videos featuring BLACKPINK member Jennie performing the song’s instrumentals.
An important component of the song’s popularity was her mesmerizing vocals and the dancing challenges made by her admirers. A dispute between TikTok and Universal Music Group led to the song’s removal from the platform, but that hasn’t dampened its popularity.
Even when new music is released, it manages to stay in Spotify’s Top 10 for numerous days in a row, and it’s climbing the Billboard Hot 100 even higher.
As previously mentioned, “One Of The Girls” has surpassed Jungkook’s “Seven” to become the most Shazamed song of 2023 and the most streamed OST by a K-pop act on Spotify, edging out BTS’s “Dreamers” by a hair.
