John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer was a Filipino actor, Christian preacher, and environmentalist who went by the stage name John Regala. He was born on May 28, 1965, and became well-known in the entertainment business after being on the famous TV show That’s Entertainment in 1986. During the 1990s, Regala became famous for playing bad guys in action movies.
This earned him the nickname “Bad Boy” of Philippine action films Robin Padilla and the late Ace Vergel. Regala was one of the most talented and talked-about artists in the Philippines because he was both capable and controversial.
