Jungkook of BTS made news after he was interviewed by Spotify’s K-Pop and named his favourite K-pop tracks. Jungkook was presented with a playlist of recent K-pop releases and asked to select his favourites. Among the songs he highlighted, “You & Me” by Jennie and those by other singers managed by HYBE (the label that represents BTS) stood out.

To those who have been following the dynamics between the BTS and BLACKPINK members, Jungkook’s choice of “You & Me” by Jennie is not at all shocking. K-pop fans enjoy it when their favourite idols show solidarity with one another, and these two groups are two of the most popular in the world. The context in which Jungkook refers to “You & Me” is fascinating. In April, Jungkook was photographed visiting Coachella, where he witnessed Jennie’s “You & Me” performance.

For ‘K-Pop ON!,’ Spotify Korea offered a sneak peek at the upcoming promotional video for the BTS singer’s solo album GOLDEN on November 1. This sent the singer’s rabid followers into a frenzy. The teaser, titled “Jung Kook experiences a new first,” premiered the same day on the official Spotify Korea YouTube channel.

The singer was asked this question by Spotify about his non-musical interests with the BTS members. While answering this question, the Please Don’t Change singer revealed a request that has since gone viral and caused a frenzy of praise from his devoted followers.
