Introducing the latest trailer for MBC’s highly anticipated drama “Chief Detective 1958”! The legendary Korean series “Chief Inspector” had an astounding peak rating of 70% throughout its 18-year run from 1971 to 1989, and “Chief Detective 1958” will act as a prelude to that show.
In contrast to the original show’s 1970s and 1980s (the modern era), “Chief Detective 1958” will take place in 1958, a full decade earlier. Detective Park Young Han’s dogged determination is demonstrated early on in the teaser, as he completely revamps Jongnam Police Station upon his arrival.

Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, and Yoon Hyun Soo are the members of Park Young Han’s squad that are introduced in the teaser.
The teaser opens with the introduction of investigator Kim Sang Soon, better known by his moniker “Crazy Dog.” True to form, he is shown chewing the ear of a felon after kicking him at the police station.
Jo Kyung Hwan, a young guy with remarkable power, is next shown in the teaser. He once sent an enigmatic man soaring through the air in an alleyway of Jongnam Market with a slap to the face. He also shows off his incredible power in other instances, such as when he fights off multiple opponents in a martial arts class and when he carries a thug on his shoulder.
