The head coach of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) is American football coach Matthew Patrick LaFleur. In addition to being the offensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams, he has held positions as the quarterback coach of the Washington Commanders, Notre Dame, and Atlanta Falcons.

Know About Matt Lafleur Washington’s Career
In 2010, Kyle invited LaFleur to Washington to teach the quarterbacks after Shanahan’s father, Mike, was hired by the Washington Redskins. LaFleur collaborated with three other future head coaches in Washington from 2011 to 2013: Mike McDaniel, Sean McVay, and Kyle Shanahan.
During the 2012 season, LaFleur’s primary duty was to coach rookie quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Robert Griffin III. 2014 saw LaFleur return to collegiate football as the University of Notre Dame’s quarterbacks coach following six years of coaching in the NFL.
LaFleur was the coach of Everett Golson, the senior quarterback, who became just the fourth quarterback in school history to surpass 3,445 yards and 29 touchdowns through the air in a single season. LaFleur made his NFL comeback on February 5, 2015, when the Atlanta Falcons hired him as their quarterbacks coach.
He reported to offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, with whom he had previously worked as a member of the Houston Texans and Washington Redskins. Mike LaFleur, the author’s younger brother, was an offensive coach for the Falcons as well.
LaFleur mentored Matt Ryan in 2016 as he earned his lone NFL MVP honor. The Falcons advanced to Super Bowl LI against the New England Patriots, but they lost 34–28 in overtime after blowing a sizable lead.
LaFleur’s first game as head coach in 2022 was a loss to the Minnesota Vikings on opening day. The season began to unravel following the 3-1 start. However, the Packers would go on to win 3 in a row. They would only manage a 1-7 record in their remaining eight games, ending the year with a 4-8 record.
With a postseason berth on the line, the Packers faced the Detroit Lions at home after winning their next four games in a row to go back to a.500 record. The Packers would ultimately fall short, losing 20–16, to end with an 8–9 record. This would be Matt LaFleur’s first season as head coach to finish outside of the playoffs and with a losing record.
