Richard Branson Personal Life
Branson wed Kristen Tomassi in 1972. The two separated in 1979. Before getting married in 1989 on Necker Island, he first met his second wife, Joan Templeman, in 1976. They had a daughter, Holly, in 1981, and a son, Sam, in 1985.
Branson is an accomplished kitesurfer who has set numerous world records. He was hurt in a bicycle accident in the British Virgin Islands in August 2016 as a well-known daredevil. Richard Branson acquired his first exclusive tropical island when he was only 28 years old and six years into founding the Virgin Group.
According to the rules, he had to build a resort on the island within 5 years, after which the government would take possession of the area. He converted it into a 28-guest mansion in the manner of Bali in three years and for about $10 million. He had the villa constructed in Bali, dismantled it, and then reconstructed it on his island to make it genuinely authentic.
