Viewers have been stunned by a behind-the-scenes narrative about the Netflix original series ‘A Killer Paradox’ that arrived recently.

The character that Son Suk Goo’s child actor played—the younger Jang Nam Gam—is getting all the attention. Casting a child actor who looked strikingly like Son Suk Goo earned the casting director kudos.

To cut to the chase, the juvenile actor who portrayed Son Suk Goo was a contrived creation. Rather, it was an artificially intelligent (AI) virtual character made utilizing deepfake technology. Deepfake is a method of creating synthetic human images using artificial intelligence.

Details about the young actor who played the role were hard to come by, even though curiosity about them was on the rise. ‘A Killer Paradox’ director Lee Chang Hee met with the media on February 14 to personally explain this enigma.

The director, Lee Chang Hee, explained, “The acting was performed by a child actor, and we utilized CG (deepfake AI) technology utilizing Son Suk Goo’s childhood photos.”

He went on to say, “That’s a frequent practice in film and television for younger performers to play the part of the child. But when you look closely, you’ll see that they’re completely different. Being dishonest would mean insisting differently. In movies, it’s common for a kid actor to look nothing like an adult actor.

He went on to say, “I’m not a fan of this cinematic acceptance,” expressing his disgust with the practice. It would appear that this strategy (the deep fake technology) has not received much attention at home. This endeavor to enhance realism was heavily funded by us.

Immerse yourself in the international sensation as “A Killer Paradox” reaches the prestigious #4 spot globally, dominating 11 countries, and enthralling viewers with its compelling plot and outstanding acting!

Lee Chang Hee, the director, added, “We applied this technique to past photos of the character Kyung Ah and the child actor Novin.” The Netflix original series “A Killer Paradox” is based on the same name webtoon by Kkomabi.

The plot is about Choi Woo Sik’s Lee Tang, who becomes a murderer by accident, and Son Suk Goo’s Detective Jang Nam Gam, who tracks him down. For more updates, you can join us on our Twitter account.
